- Typically it's hard to get a friend to help you move. Today it's easy! Aaron does the heavy lifting and teaches you how to move edges, faces, objects, and grouped geometry in SketchUp for iPad. No bubble wrap needed!

Please do a SU for iPad video on making copies at a regular intervals, such as a post even 3 feet for 15 feet
Thanks for the video, still not as comfortable with iPad vs Mac. That said, I’m used to taking a point of a component and attaching that to a point on a different component, but I’m rarely in the same space and it feels very unintuitive (i.e. I’m struggling). So, aligning components, to include moving duplicates at once like positioning a pair of table legs in reference to another pair would be really helpful.
Thanks for the video.. would also like to know how to mirror an object. Thanks
Is there a method to fill in a space with multiple copies of a component automatically. Move copy x (#)?
please do a separate video on auto fold, copy and stamp
What if I want to not just copy, but repeat a geometry every x distance, x many times? Or divided a certain distance? I guess it's where you input the distance, right? Like: times x, or divided x... Thanks
Great video. I'm looking for how to connect components.
Please do a video for printing size/page size. I'd like 2 or 3 images per page, or 1 image on full page.
How do you do multiple copies? You know, copy with x3, /12?
Enter 3x or /12 in the measurements box after you have made the first copy.
Saludos, sería bueno que también hubiera tutoriales en español… Gracias.
I am finding it very hard in SketchUp for IPad to precisely move a point on a component to a point in another component. In SketchUp pro you click the first point, navigate to the second and click then the object moves. In IPad after clicking the first pint the object follows you. The issue with this is that it often blocks my view of the second point. I like the way it works in pro so much better. Any suggestions?
Multiple copies with same distance is not possible. I realised after i purchased the app. It’s very important for my workflow. Please bring that feature into this.
Entering the number of copies you want followed by an X in the diemsnios field after making the first copy allows you to make as many copies as you want!
How to Model Mountains in background with Sand Box Tools
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll add it to the list. In the meantime, this video may be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/XC2QYbFY0QA/v-deo.html
I’ve just got sketchup for iPad
I’ve changed the measurements to mm and it keeps going back to feet and inches
You know I fined these tutorials helpful but I need to start at the beginning
Written to Trimble but have had no help
Can you help Please
Cheers enjoy your day
When you start a new model, are you just using Create New, or are you tapping the down arrow and choosing Decimal - Millimeters? If you need help with this, please post on our forum (forums.sketchup.com) so we can talk through a solution (UA-cam comments is a terrible place to try to help troubleshoot).
With no hover state for the pencil like there is with a mouse, I can't figure out how to move a group or geometry with it's midpoint. Is there something I'm missing?
Make sure your Pencil is set to Click-move-click. Then you can touch to the screen and mimic the mouse hover information.
