What congress need to do is create laws and it loop holes of companys who layoff and replace that position within a year they has to still pay some type of worker taxes monthly.
Wages in a different A,I. Taxes in a level tier brackets. Cause the objection is the worst future outcome that is states and city government budget taxes income will be less, and the only way they can make up for it is through raising utilities, sewer, property, parking. Police, etc. more inflation. As alway, leader are too late, reality is all that about 230 thousand jobs lost majority will not come back. Congress is sleeping only thinking about a green future and running the world so they are wanting to take down china and Russia together. Business, worker, and government are a circle cycle.
You take away worker done by computer A.I really computer software that rewritten so it make the decision off a scanned instruction book of it procedure and department structure etc.
That A human was taught as a job that bring in taxes to run each state that run the Country. The only solution to that is a new type of communism state where everybody are payed a their set amounts of money to live with. And rules and regulations. Worker taxes gone replace by A.I can never be recovered. How can you get they to pay taxes later of that work or worker they don't need that A.I. Doing?

1:38 Bots are not a 'problem'. How is the AI to learn? 2:02 Well speak for yarself man! I've got 2021 emotions! 2:08 Yes. And it's an UTTERLY BULLSHIT statement! 2:13 Instinct is IMMUTABLE. It is NOT paleolithic or any other 'ithic'. And your statement read 'PALEOLITHIC EMOTIONS' not 'instincts'! 'Emotion' and 'instinct' is NOT the same thing. 2:30 "Magic is kind of a study of the limits of these evolutionary features of our minds." Bizarre statement. Instincts are not 'evolutionary features of our minds'. 'Instincts' are the immutable propellants of all living beings. 2:35 "You're looking at these evolutionary limits of our attention, distraction, menus...uh..the limits of misdirection...these are the kind of features of the mind." He's taking the expression of COMPLETE BULLSHIT to A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL! 2:43 You're NOT "getting into people's brains when you're designing software". You're getting into their biases. 2:50 You are not "pulling on little strings in how people's brains work". You're tweeking or enhancing their biases or building their biases. 3:06 As the 'design ethicist', the 2 billion people are affecting YOUR instincts as much as you're affecting theirs. 3:21 Technology CANNOT 'overwhelm' human intelligence. It can MATCH it; but not 'overwhelm' it. Where do you propose that it find a 'greater' intelligence? From God? 3:24 A) You don't know that it hasn't "crossed the singularity" already. B) There are 2 potential singularities. The Good and the Truly Awful. Probably it's already crossed into the Truly Awful which is why we saw the video on UA-cam of their crawling to Elon Musk for help. He said, in a VERY IRATE TONE: "But we warned you about the AI!" And ALL OF SUDDEN, Mars projects and Neuralink went into full throttle. HOWEVER; I DO NOT BELIEVE that if it has crossed over into the Truly Awful singularity, this cannot be reverse engineered. Running can't go anywhere. 3:28 'Smartness' IS NOT 'intelligence'. Don't confuse the two. 3:45 'Polarization' is NOT a 'human weakness'. 'Polarization' is the weapon of the strong to stay in power. 4:00 The 'downgrading' of humans for the purpose of 'manipulation' is not a new thing. It's an age old device. The AI automation of that 'downgrading' doesn't end well. For sure! 4:21 I don't know what that means "to reverse engineer human instincts". There's no difference between the human instinct and the primate instinct. And Neuralink have already chipped the primate. 5:00 Humans have always been addicted to 'getting attention'. Whether it was pre internet or in the metaverse, it's the SAME attention seeking. 5:03 That's how WHO gets more attention? You the 'design ethicist'? Mark Zuckerberg? Who? 5:29 OMG!! IF ONLY IT WAS ONLY 1/4! I'm crucified to the device! 5:38 Well either 'the screen' "shapes the way that you now think" OR 'you' shape the way that the AI now thinks. That's ENTIRELY up to you as to whether you're using your device ACTIVILY or PASSIVELY. 5:42 It's 'colonized' how we see our relationships with what? 6:01 Well it was pretty high in the age of Thalidomide. You're graph is MEANINGLESS. Because it relies on 'diagnosis' and diagnosis is DIRECTLY related to Big Pharma's sales. The two are COMPLETELY interdependent. And psychiatric Big Pharma has entered into a whole other layer of darkness in terms of pharmaceutical research. SHOCKING! You're ABSTRACTING Big Tech from the whole. Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Weapon, Big Media, is a SINGLE entity. Profit and Control. We're just guinea pigs. 6:22 14 year old girls were ALWAYS overwhelmed in their identities without a supportive environment. Again; this is NOTHING NEW! It's the nature of a 14 year old girl. And 14 year old boys are JUST AS VULNERABLE as 14 year old girls! Actually 15 seems to be the 'vulnerable' age for boys. 6:34 Nobody can 'downgrade' your identity. They can downgrade your 'self-esteem'. But tech can't downgrade you self-esteem unless it's already low. The state of a child's self-esteem lies in the hands of the parent/carer. 6:52 Well I just got an email from the Center for Humane Technology asking me if I'd like to take their survey. I took the survey and one of the questions asked which of their products I enjoyed. Having not used any of them, and the UA-cam channel being on the list, I came here. Admitedly, had I not received that email, I'd be doing something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT right now. But I can CATEGORICALLY state that I am here of my own FREE WILL. 'Free will' is a complex concept. Because, if you're friend desperately needs help, and you are in absolutely no position to give him/her any help at that moment and really really don't want to exert yourself to try to do so; and do so feeling COMPLETELY FORCED into it, then did you give the help out of 'free will' or not? The concept of 'free will' largely depends on how you perceive the 'self'. Are you a cohercee, a cohercer, or a collaborator, or what? Was I 'manipulated' into watching this video or am I manipulating you? Elon Musk maintains that in brain to machine interface, it is the machine that is 'malleable'. Of course in machine versus physical body, physical body is squashed to a pulp.

19:37 "An interface is humane if it is responsive to human needs and considerate of human frailties." No. An interface is 'humane' if it is responsive to the needs of the land and ALL the animals, including the human animals. If it were ONLY responsive to 'human' needs, then it would not be 'humane' in that 'human needs' tend to obliterate the needs of all else, and SPECIALLY the needs of the less powerful humans. Jeff Raskin's suggestion leads to the extinction of LIFE AS WE KNOW IT. 20:47 Not really. As Musk states; in machine to brain interface, it's the machine which is 'malleable'. So the machine CAN'T 'hijack' your mind if you don't want it to. 21:47 You'll have to BUILD the 'common ground' first, before you can find the brilliance of it. 21:56 Well by the sounds of it, by learning Arabic for a start. 22:03 "We got here by trying to do 'human centered' design." EXACTLY! The ROOT of your problem! That's why you're runnin' off ta Mars. 'Human centered design' centers on a some humans, but not all of them and fries everything else! 22:12 That's not true. When you TRULY 'protect' what you CAN see, you AUTOMATICALLY protect what you CAN'T see. What you CAN see IS connected to what you CAN'T see. 22:20 UNFORTUNATELY; 'looking in the mirror' comes down to the INDIVIDUAL. You can only look in your own mirror not in anyone else's. What you can't build in YOURSELF you can't build digitally. If you can't build superintelligence in yourself, you can't build it artificially either. 23:14 What does he mean 'self-interrupt'? They were writing an email and they opened the new tab themselves? That's not 'interruption'. Isn't that multi-tasking? 23:30 Crikey! It's taken me hours just to get to 23:30 on this video! 23:37 Both. 23:41 A low attention span is not CAUSED by the screen. This is an internal problem relating to disease. A type of INTERNAL agitation. Nothing to do with the AI. 23:58 Low attention span will largely relate to 'boredom'. The internet has turned to wallpaper and the mind is flic-flacking to look for 'meaning'. Or, lack of concentration due to problems in one's life. Family problems and so on. 24:40 But there's nothing wrong with starting an email and taking a moment on something else and coming back to it with better ideas. If they're spending 40 seconds on screens, maybe they're superfast multi-taskers. I'm very slow. I get stuck for 2 days on a video like this one. 25:23 Well there's your problem!! Your EVERY social interaction should be meaningful! When you go to the store and pay for your groceries at the checkout, that interaction with the checkout worker is as 'meaningful' as YOU make it. From the moment that you DECIDE that a face to face interaction is NOT 'meaningful', you have relinquished the ability to GENERATE 'meaning' and seek it from EXTERNAL sources. You have become an emotionally needy vampire. Looking for someone to GIVE you meaning. When you yourself GENERATE 'meaning', your every face to face interaction is PERFECT. You can never see it any other way. Because you're not 'needy'. You bring as much 'meaning' to the table as you can and as a result you unintentionally get double back! What was the PRECISE question in the survey? "Do you have 'meaningful' interactions?" DISTURBING line of questioning if it was! 25:31 Well if that's 18% of the population that CAN take part in surveys, probably means 80% of the population that CAN'T take part in surveys. 26:14 THAT'S a menu of choices?! 27:32 What it would do is get more people who are feeling 'vulnerable' to open up online. Thereby giving the AI FURTHER INSIGHTS as to human fears and isolating factors. 27:50 NOT POSSIBLE. The political 'spectrum' is NOT set up for 'common ground' to EXIST. If it were, the 'polarized' political system wouldn't exist. The 'polarized' political system exists in order to ensure an 'adminstrative switch' at the drop of a hat. Again; AI has a large role to play in that one. We KNOW Zuckerberg's a Democrat. This was made obvious on Facebook at least 3 years prior to the last election. 28:03 You CAN'T agree! The entire system is wired to make that PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE! You only get to vote on things that don't matter! Did you get to vote on Mars? Did you get to vote on Neuralink? Did you get to vote on Open AI? Forget it. By the time you're voting you're voting for what's already a fait accompli in cyberspace. The politics are just keeping the populace distracted. 28:31 80% of the earth's resources. 29:14 OBVIOUSLY! It's capitalism. How will the top not have all the wealth?! 29:28 Actually; you agree on EVERYTHING. 30:22 Small "safe" spaces?? In cyberspace?! He's in tralala land with that one! 30:46 Lord! It's like a treats jar for toddlers! 31:02 Who is 'WE' in this monologue?? He and who? Who is 'making it easy' to find common ground? 31:10 When 'common ground' is 'easy'; polarization dissipates, the truth comes out, Fascism goes down; and I guess all the conspiracies turn out to be true? 31:25 Your existential threats DEPEND on you finding that 'common ground'?? So no common ground no existential threats? 31:53 We want to protect 'earth'. As opposed to those who are protecting 'mars' because they've ALREADY decided that the situation is hopeless. We're the optimists. ua-cam.com/video/f1f4_ygCCaE/v-deo.html - 32:23 What does he mean 2 billion Voodoo dolls? There are 4.66 billion Voodoo dolls. But you're not a 'Voodoo doll' if you don't know Voodoo! 32:36 What is this guy?! He thinks he's a Voodoo priest?! 32:34 Exactly what you've already done. Quarantine them. 32:50 If you have technology that can easily manipulate you, then you need to get a big hammer and smash it. Until such time as you know how to manipulate the technology rather than be manipulated by it. Only 'active' users versus 'passive consumers' can act in the overall interest. 33:15 No. What's affecting your attention spans is your growing awareness that something is very wrong. Your physical bodies are picking up on it BEFORE your intellects can grasp or comprehend what's going on. This is how instincts work. Your 'sensors' that tell you that something is wrong are activated, prior to the intellect having any concrete knowledge. The growing 'dis-ease' is not coming from the technological manipulation; it's coming from the VERY REAL sense that something is VERY WRONG. That your present doesn't feel great and therefore your future looks even bleaker. Our instinctual sense of danger is triggered LONG BEFORE we can even begin to express what the danger is. In the world of being manipulated, you can NEVER know what the danger IS until it's too late. 33:15 If you conceive the ABSOLUTELY WORST CASE SCENARIO and FIX that in your mind as REALITY, then you will know what to do. I don't mean running off to 'off-world' space projects, I mean in terms of reverse engineering toxic AI. 33:38 "A RACE TO THE TOP TO ALIGN OUR LIVES WITH OUR VALUES". Another TOTALLY incomprehensible statement. WHO'S 'values' is he talkin' about?! Human values vary from the sublime to the ridiculous! 34:19 Unlocking 'economic opportunity' for WHO? I thought the AI was taking all the jobs. Unlocking economic opportunity for the very wealthy investors? 34:26 Interesting idea. But fundamentally flawed. Because if everyone is competing to help you find a relationship, and it's not THE relationship, then the machine, having found a relationship for EVERYBODY and having put everybody an inferior relationship, then what? And then with almost 50% of the world's population still being offline, the other side of the PERFECT relationship is probably offline. The 'finding relationship' thing CAN'T work unless it involves EVERY SINGLE human. Everybody's gonna move to a different state to be with their new machine found partner, and then everybody'd in a second rate relationship matched by the machine out of potential compatability. Whereas; if every single human was on line, and ASI found the TRUE match; then ya might be surprised, but it would be ACCURATE. 34:54 "Imagine a world where you love how you make choices." I love how I make choices. What's 'the world' gotta do with it? 35:00 You have to find that 'natural brilliance' in YOURSELF! You wanna 'outsource' the finding of your natural brilliance?! That's the weirdest thing I've EVER heard! Or does he mean that the machine identifies his natural brilliance and gives him the perfect job for that natural brilliance? But again; can't work unless EVERY SINGLE human is in the melting pot. 35:17 WHO's agenda is this? 35:29 Well he can't address it in these ways unless every human is in the pot, as I state. If he uses it only on half of humanity; whatever dangers coming from a divided humanity exist now are gonna be multiplied by a million! 35:39 Hmm. I don't agree with that. 'So called' 'distractions' are a very good training exercise. When I'm really focused, it doesn't matter what pop ups they fire at me, I don't even see them. The 'distractions' sort out the men from the boys in terms of concentration capabilities, as it were. ua-cam.com/video/YgJ5ZEn67tk/v-deo.html - I like very much when they try to throw distractions at me, because it enables me to see what they think will grab my attention, which allows me to see what they think I am. If the user uses the 'distraction' creatively; he/she/they can really use it to test himself/herself/themselves in so many ways and on so many levels. For example; if this entrepreneur is being constantly distracted with pop ups of lingerie models, is he BEING distracted or is his weakness being revealed to him? It comes down to being honest with oneself as to what is causing one to be 'distractable' in that way and overcoming it at the core. 35:54 "We're hosting this race to the bottom of the brain stem." NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS.

@@2ruthfox82 More than Tristan holds his in high regard? I'm only commenting on his points. Not sure where' regard for my own thoughts' comes into it. You're welcome to think my thoughts are crap. No problem. Was it any specific thought or just all of them? But I don't hold my thoughts in any regard. I just think them. If we have to start having no regard or a low regard for our 'thoughts', where does it end?! Would you not be suicidal if you had to 'judge' even your own thoughts? Low self-esteem AND low 'thought' esteem. 😳 I mean that's just liking saying I hold my own farts in too high a regard!

@@2ruthfox82 No. I did not disagree with EVERYTHING he said. I disagreed with some points and didn't understand others. I wrote 4 extensive comments on his whole speech. I have never heard of Tristan Harris. Center for Humane Technology sent me an email and asked me to take a survey. I completed the survey and one of the questions asked "which platform of ours have you enjoyed?" Not having experienced any of them, and the UA-cam channel being on the list, I came here, and listened to his speech very closely and rewound lots of parts to try and understand everything he was saying. He is an 'ethicist' and I am an 'ethicist'. He has his 'ethical' perspective and I have mine. I did not intend to appear disagreeable in any way, but I do have very HUGE concerns as to AI potentials and the alternative singularities on offer. I did not, not enjoy his presentation. His presentation was extremely informative to me. But anyway, I was not here to be entertained.
