Great review. This is why I consider building an arcade cabinet yourself is probably a better option. Some of these sellers are more concerned with turning a profit then building a cabinet that will last for years and years. One of the best builds you can make is using a tiny used PC to power the whole thing. You can add an external drive and load tons of games up to the Wii, Gamecube and Wii U, something you cannot do with a Raspberry Pi. Also you can add a nice little amplifier to the set up that with the right speakers sounds pretty good. Best of all is you can build it all for about 500 bucks or less, depending on what monitor you go with.
Yep I built a few cabs myself since buying this. I was going to ask if you recommend arcade mania lol the guy I've been speaking to is based In Barnsley with arcade mania I'm bristol based and would love one of these but I'm not technically minded so these things would really bug me as I wouldn't be able to rectify them...do you know any companies without these issues?

i had 2 arcades machines from the old owners of arcade mania much cheaper, the old owners now are arcade geeks in birmingham, you should check them out what you want they will do it for you
Good to know. I have got pretty good at building these now and have made a couple for friends too. I really enjoy it! The racing cab with Force Feedback wheel, lightguns, 5.1 surround sound etc was the first one I made - that plays 60,000 games on its own (not all racing though obviously) :-)

Yea... It's not 'awful', if you are playing 90% on your own and not using gun games its still good, but there are better options for sure 🙂

Is this from arcade mania in birmingham ?
I'm not sure, it was a while ago now and the company has changed hands too since then. I don't think it matters WHO you buy it from , more the point is, this 'design' of this cabinet will have many of the same issues regardless of where you buy it from - too small for 2 players, wobbly when on the stand/riser, restricted 1 player hand placement etc. Whether other issues like the screen contrast issue etc are be fixed will obviously vary from one supplier to the next

Just bought one of these from arcade mania and not impressed at all. The menu on mine is total junk . The one you have here is at least usable! Also the basic name games once you have managed to find them crash and are unplayable. Avoid!!!
I would insist on a return and refund if it was me and was that bad. I make my own cabinets now, and this one I made ua-cam.com/video/s1MwRtWFUR4/v-deo.html is 10 times better than even the Arcade Mania one in my video and has tonnes more games and features
OVERPRICED and one-man company.
Be aware that the company is literally ONE MAN show. If he is sick forget about your product. During the purchase and sale period - great service and response and once the machine was received - literally nothing. Nayim would not even respond to whatsup msg. Shameful.
The quality of printing is good, it is a sturdy machine but attention to detail is poor - 22-inch screen is not aligned properly, the games are not set up for screen size (screen resolution ), poor manual. This is way overpriced, look elsewhere.
The company has changed hands since I bought mine, but with this general style a lot of the flaws will still be relevant whoever builds it I think (cramped 2 player, bad angle for Gun games etc)

In hindsight I should have built my own, was pretty easy really - my Vewlix style one I made here ua-cam.com/video/s1MwRtWFUR4/v-deo.html is miles better than the Arcade Mania one in the video
@@honestrob you right i did watch this video early on i was gona say why did you get this arcade from arcade mania but i thought i just leave it, looks very good bro lots of room for 2 players, you right about the room about playing on the arcade from arcade mania
@@RetroMasters1977 Well I suppose the Arcade Mania cab was good for finding all the things I think are bad about it and then correcting them for my Vewlix style cab :-)
