Thanks for the advice! Tried this out in Colorado bend state park this past weekend and it helped out a lot. Usually I can't go more than 2 miles before I start to get knee pain and this weekend I ran/hiked 20 miles with no pain!
thanks for sharing! must know info for any serious hiking in Yosemite, especially when carrying 20-30lbs backpack downhill. most issues with pain come when moving down.

So it's like skiing: lean into the slope. Great explanations of why that helps, how the cadence speeds up, keep the weight over the landing foot.
