impressive and interesting pipeline of (web) tools. The web has grown up. You've demonstrated a pipeline of (free?) website applications which empower anybody to create such complex content. Absolutely unthinkable years ago.
It's pretty strange, right? Not all of the tools are free, as I do pay for a Midjourney subscription. But I could have easily used Stable Diffusion, which can be hosted on any computer. The output is similar, but image-generation is very CPU-intensive, and it takes many hours on my simple laptop. In the end, I wonder where this is all going to take us, in the music community, in 6 months, 5 years, 10 years? Thanks for watching and commenting. It gives me anxiety to know that the world I thought i’d be existing in and making music in has so drastically changed into something so fundamentally different. I fear we are on the cusp of such an extreme influx of quickly generated “musical content”. The streaming model has not served the majority of artists well for the last decade, this new technology is going to bury many more in an overwhelming saturation. Amazing technology but I am having such a hard time coming to terms with it.
I'm also having a hard time, if I'm honest. This tech gives me paradoxical feelings of excitement and dread, and of course I know that nothing will ever be the same. So sad, but I do see a bright side.. I feel like many artists have been chasing some elusive fame or notoriety, and may, once again, be compelled to create art purely for art's sake. I know that I, myself, will probably carry on in much the way that I always have. Thank you for your time and your comment; I appreciate your input.
@@danieklerr i find a lot of the AI stuff good casual listening for people who don’t like deep meaning in lyrics. Lyrically and musically its all derivative fluff. It has a distinctive "cut and paste from stuff you've already heard" sound. Like, its ok for background music to chill to and study to etc.. but it's not going to radically change your life and mindset upon listening to it. Its not going to suddenly make a new System of a Down type distinctive music style. On the flip side the AI dilution of music and art may make people crave the authentic more? lets hope.
So far the leaps forward are incredible, but I feel what you're saying. It seems like Udio's capacity for hilarious and satirical lyrics are pretty good. Commercial jingles for ads, elevator music for short presentations, this type of thing, will certainly make these jobs into a non-human entity. But you're right about the basic human need for authenticity. Also, instead of striving for fame, maybe musicians will get back to making art for art's sake.
Not in the slightest. This was more for humor than anything else. I've recorded over 300 hours of original music and played hundreds of live shows. I'm literally obsessed with writing and performing. But this ai technology is not going to disappear simply because I don't talk about it. I'd rather face the subject head-on, if you know what I mean.

Metric is one of my favorite bands of all time, so the ai knows what I like, haha.

I was thinking of putting together a girl's band like this and attaching them with AI images.
