I understand this situation a bit. A couple years ago, I was walking to my next class in college during my second year. I was 21 at the time. I was stopped by security and told that I had to rejoin the high school group taking a tour. Apparently I looked 16-17 to them. I still look the same, just now with a mask and longer hair. I'm short and not masculine at all, so now I also get asked if I'm a boy or a girl. It's interesting seeing people hesitant to ask age and gender. Bars will forever keep ID'ing me too.
That's quite neat, actually. You start with a very strong confusion factor you could exploit to your own benefit. I'm a different mix where I seem to be attractive to old people, small children and animals. So I'll never get a wife, but all the grandmothers tell me how awesome I'm dealing with their grandchildren.
My mom who was an adult got confused for elementary school students. It must be hard.
I have the occasional "Wait, are you a foreigner?" due to my accent since I live in an Asian country. At the same time, I get mistaken for being younger by my voice. I don't know if it's just instinct, but when I talk to someone, my voice gets higher and would be lower when I talk casually with family or friends.
I kinda wish I could relate. I have a dad bod and a thick beard in my early 20s. I have a young face, so I'd probably look like a high schooler if I shaved, but I'll forever look masculine even tho I'd much prefer being androgynous or feminine

I remember we were advertising 25 cent Ice Cream cones, (huge ones at that.) on Halloween to kids under 14 years old.. So I would tell people with kids as their checking out their groceries "Hey you can get a super good deal on Ice Cream cones for your kid(s) down that way."
Than this huge guy and this tiny girl came up.. And I swear to god I legitimately thought she was a child, So I told her "dad"

when i was 14, someone stopped me for something. the thing is that they referred to me as "sir". i said "why sir? I'm still in middle school" and they told me that i look like i was 20. it still happens to this day

Same. I was shocked when I passed by some freshmen and they referred to me as sir, but I wasn't even that much older than them. It didn't help I could grow a decent beard even then.

Lol, one of my students in Japan had the same issue. She was a scientist and 32 but literally looked like she was 12, so every time we'd all go out for drinks she'd be the only one they'd card, and it was always a test for new people "guess how old she is???". I guessed 22, just b/c I saw her with a beer in her hand at the time.

This happened to me one time entering a mall alone. A guard stopped me and asked where am i going. I was like, inside obviously. He then asked me my age, who am i with. Me as a good citizen told him my age(25). You can see his face was marked with disbelief and asked me to show an ID card with my actual date of birth. Bruh
you might as well just start wearing something that shows you're not a kid, like an ID badge, or a shirt that says "i'm older than i look" etc.

several weeks later after posting my reply, and now i think i should do the same, just instead of age, it should be of my gender... since i'm around average height overall, 5"8 and have long hair, i was stopped from entering a store's exit in a mall (not actually trying to enter mind you, just waited for my father to get out with the groceries) and i was stopped by a guard saying (and i quote) "hay stop miss, that's not the entrance" though i must say that the look on his face was priceless when he noticed my face, since i have a beard. XD
for real, same thing happened to me. My mom saw me off at the airport and as I turned in my bag, the person checking them in was confused. "One bag for the both of you?" "No, no, they're going by themself." The attendant looked at my mother like she was crazy for letting her child go on a flight halfway across the planet alone.
As someone with a baby face who's been used to having people thinking I'm several years younger than I really am I can totally relate to this scenario.

I've always been mistaken as my father's brother and my brothers' father. I'm 30 years younger than my father and only 5 & 7 years older than my brothers.

Sad thing is it happens to me in reverse. I'm almost 20 now, so legally I'm an adult, but since I was 15 I looked like a short adult. Deep voice, a long beard (I had to start shaving when I was 11), so people often mistook me for someone way older. People I don't know always referred to me as "sir" if they had to ask me something (ex. "Excuse me sir, you know what day is it today?"), when my mother took me to the doctors for some checkups she always had to tell them "he's a minor" otherwise they wouldn't let her in with me and stuff like that. When I was 17 I was at a grocery store with my mother to buy some stuff when she met an old friend of her she didn't see in a long time, they started talking and I stayed by myself looking at groceries in that aisle when I hear her say "is that your husband?". My mother was born in '77, and even tho she is a well preserved woman for her age a childhood friend is supposed to know that she is 45 (at the time she was 43), so to be mistaken for a man in his 40s at 17 was quite weird

Ok, this LEGIT happened to me at Disney World today. For context, I’m a 5’0” (152 cm) adult, so I’m very much on the short side.
So, I was headed to a restaurant, and there were a bunch of cast members in front of the entrance checking to see if everyone coming in had already made their mobile order. As I was heading up to them, one of the cast members turned to me and said, “Hi, sweetie! Did you make a mobile order?” I’m 99.9% sure they thought I was a kid.
So, yeah. I empathize with Gura.

I remember back in middle school we had field trips to universities and one time we make a stop on the tour of the place and one of my classmates that doesn't know me asks how being a university student was like and I'm just like "dude... I'm part of the class... like I'm on the field trip too..."
And one time I'm on a cruise with my family that has this little 17 and under club and they had this code word they'd yell whenever parents showed up to find their kid and every time I'd walk into the room they'd be yelling it out thinking I was someone's dad there to pick them up.
Now I'm in my mid-20s and I think I finally look my age.
I'm 6'2". My sister, who is only five years younger than me, is 4'10". I picked her up from work one night because her car was in the shop, and took her to IHOP for dinner. The waitress handed her a kid's menu and then told me I have a lovely daughter. My sister got SO pissed, and I was all "why are you mad? You're not going to eat an adult-sized portion anyway."
