I Stayed at Heathrow Airport's WORST Hotel!

I stayed at the Thistle Hotel at London Heathrow Terminal 5 (T5) on the eve of my Around The World In 8 (ish) Days trip to Auckland, New Zealand.
You know my UK hotel room reviews are quick and dirty - with an eye open for biscuits and USB charging ports!
I have stayed here 3 times before and staying again in November. Yes it's dated and rough around the edges. Looking like an old council office analogy made me chuckle. But I wouldn't say it's the worst hotel at Heathrow. The Holiday Inn express in Slough was worse. This affords some luxury you don't get in an Ibis or Travelodge.
So yeah it's pretty decent, but I think it's unfair to say it's the worst at Heathrow. Check out my review if you want.
Nice one - I'll give it a look - I think its fair to say that its the worst I've stayed at there - and better or worse is just a place on a sliding scale, it doesn't necessarily mean bad, but I know my missus would never stay here lol

Horrible hotel. I stayed several years ago. The soap they provide is like a medicine tablet!!!. The AC switches of every 10 minutes. The worst hotel to stay. AVOID.
It is pretty grim, inside and out!
You should try the Heathrow Lodge also in Longford believe me in comparison the Thistle is a paradise!

Hope it helped! I didn't have much choice as it was a business trip and had to book the cheapest option, but I wouldn't pay for it on a leisure trip 👍

Why is this titled Heathrow’s worst hotel when you summarised it as “a decent enough, cheap little hotel”?
I’ve stayed in it twice, it is certainly not little, is fantastic value for money and has views of planes taking off/landing as good as any Heathrow hotel…
It's decent enough for the money, but so is a McDonald's cheeseburger - doesn't mean I think there's anything good about it. It looks like a 1960's council office from the outside and every other Heathrow hotel I've stayed in has been far better in my humble opinion. Stick up a link to your review video of it and I might change my mind 👍
@@ToothTalksTravel I don’t have a video review. As I said I stayed there twice and thought it was fine considering the price. Location was good, room was clean and comfortable, great views from the bar and breakfast was perfectly adequate.
