Thank you youtube for enabling us to be enriched by such reflections as these. Never before have I so willingly applied the Golden Calf image to myself and many others. THANK YOU.
You said you liked Hollywood movies in your channel description, Tyrone powers was a catholic and his movies he starred in always had some sort of catholic and historical spin in them. At the end of "American guerrilla in the Philippines" they run into a catholic parish around the end. "The black rose" he is a Christian around the 1300s, it starts in Britain, then morrocco, then ends in China, it gives an interesting look at conflicts in those days
Gives me hope..when looking at the horrible things going on in the Church today..heresy as far as the eye can see..This shows from the beginning people were going astray..and we are still here...HEAR THAT BISHOPS IN GERMANY..this too shall pass..
Good observations - especially your last comment. The Church has faced both external and internal issues throughout its history and has always managed to come through. Not all bishops are weak. I know a number who are quite strong and diligent in maintaining the teachings of the Church, as well as the spirit of worship in the Mass and the Sacraments. And we mustn't forget the people of the Church who can be quite strong willed and stubborn in their ways, even when they do have strong leadership from their bishops. Something else that might give you hope -- since we easily recognize the problems, in deference to the Letters to the Churches, what might be the words of Praise given to the Church (parish, diocese, city, etc.) in addition to the reproaches? Thanks for your comments.
Fr. William Nicholas a little difficult when I get smiles and told it is all me...nothing to see here..I was gone for 40 years..and this is NOT the same Church I left..I am told it is all me..no it isnt..And if people are strong willed it is because they have been lead to believe their opinions on certain matters actually matter..as if church laws somehow are the result of majority opinions...oh wait..that IS kind of what is happening..everything traditional is vile ...oh well..enjoy your weekend..me i will try to find a mass where people have respectful.silence and dont hold a glee club meeting in the pews before mass..in tbeir sleeveless mini dresses..shorts and flip flops..talk during the consecration and walk out the door after recieving..but it is all me right..People do what they are allowed to do
@@fr.williamnicholas955 too sad....it looks like it is not going to change for the better sooner rather than later. Ecumenism, idolatry in the vatican, siding with the UN and socialist agenda in politics rather than on cleaning house, from the top down. These are sad times indeed.
In the context of Revelation, the "spirit" of Jezebel refers to any introduction of idolatry within the Christian Community, perhaps by mis-guided Christians themselves; just as Jezebel married an Israelite King, and then introduced the worship of Baal to the culture of Israel from within it - something which King Ahab allowed either because he was taken in, or because he was a weak king. Examples I can think of (although there may be better ones) are Christians who consult horoscopes, or psychics. Perhaps Christians who prioritize other value systems before those of Christianity (such as those who put their political persuasions before their Catholic/Christian values, or who engage in behavior contrary to Christian morality with the PRESUMPTION that God does not mind, or will overlook one's sinful behavior). There can be any number of examples. You might come up with some examples of your own. The important thing is to be faithful to our Christian values and be vigilant lest we be led astray, even by Christians who are lax in living and observing the standards of their faith.
Thanks Fr.

Believe me. It's not "all you". You're not alone.
Greetings from Singapore. You're not alone, bro.

How can I sow to this ministry. I like the truth. I want to know more about Jezebel spirit. Thankyou
