Actually Afghan war was one of the shortest war , USA won that in few months time.. don't simply go by the answer key

In 1998, the BJP-led Government appointed an eight member committee on state funding of elections under the chairmanship of Indrajit Gupta, a former Home Minister. The committee submitted its report in 1999. It upheld the argument for introduction of state funding of elections. It stated that state funding of elections is constitutionally and legally justified and is in public interest.

It was the Dinesh Goswami Committee which first time recommended state funding of election for few selected items of election expenses to the candidates of recognized political parties many years later the Inderjeet Gupta Committee backed this idea. Therefore this question should be challenged as there are two correct answers and should be declared invalid

Correct answer is Vietnam war which lasted for more than 21 years but if we count that Afghanistan war ended only in August 2021 which is not correct because the war ended very quickly in 2001, but US forces stayed there then also it was shorter than Vietnam War and therefore this question should be challenged
