Did a similar vacuum repair for my 86.5 hard shifting. But I ran cunifer down the spare brake line channel rather than deal with dropping the tt. Love the videos Rudy. Thank you for posting them.
I inadvertently pulled the vacuum line off the top of the bellhousing when I was doing the intake refresh not knowing what a beast it is to reinstall. One of the few jobs I had to enlist my mechanic to put it back on for me - he was able to gain access from underneath and I'm guessing did the blind "bear hug" method to pop it back on. I'm glad as it instantly restored the smooth shifting.

I have hard shift also, but also lack of power unless I hold rpm high, but from dead stop...it is a pig, no balls
