You are such a sweetheart to always think of us and want to put out the best content possible. A lot of UA-camrs seem to have "checked out" lately and don't give a s*!t just slap videos together with swatches we can't see very well and not a lot of information. I can tell you put so much work into these, from your amazing swatches to all the looks and comparisons. So thank you!

Thank you for keeping it so REAL. All the swatches and the comparison helped a lot but what helped me the most was the swatch with the eyebrush. I don't think i ever subscribed to a channel that fast

These palettes' shades are very attractive and suitable for each other. In this moment I'm struggling to choose between Amethyst and Emerald. They have such unusual colors and excellent formula

Thank you for the detailed review, Jen! MUR used to be my favorite brand but I've stopped buying lately because they release 3-4 palettes every week, and 90% of the colors look the same. Out of these, I would only buy the Emerald because it's actually something different. I'm very disappointed by the Ruby one because they didn't even put a real red in there...
I am eyeballing the Amethyst and Diamond palette, or maybe the Emerald... Emerald with copper makes sense to me - makes me think of Ireland.
I love how much information you give... I have to see them in person before buying but you helped me reduce the options. Waiting for more videos. 😊

I was in Ulta tonight and they were updating the Revolution display. It's kinda crazy to see how they went from and end cap to having an entire row!
I love your videos, Jen. I feel like a lot of thought, work, and research goes into them. When it comes to eyeshadow I'm not great at picking colors that really work well together and I'm even less great at blending. You always pick some really nice color combos and I totally feel you when you say blending is challenging. I try to do exactly what I see "beauty gurus" doing on UA-cam but somehow mine never comes out looking the same. Thank you so much for sharing with us, even when you think it didn't blend out as smoothly as you wanted it to. I know there are a lot of people like me out there that can't quite get it perfect but love trying anyway.
Thank you so much Mandy! I'm the same way...in videos they make it look so easy but I just can't get it! I don't know if it's partly my eye shape (because they're a little deep set and my brow bone is kind of low and hangs over) so sometimes the transition doesn't blend smoothly. But sometimes it does so it could be certain shadows just blend better then others!
Thanks for the review ... i m not a huge fun of MUR ... but since i got the constellation palette i noticed that the eyeshadows are more pigmented and less dusty ... my favorite one of your palettes is rose quartz .. i loved its warm tones ... i hope that its formula osas intresting as the constellation one . I don't know why you don't wear more warms, Jen; the look at 13:10 is STUNNING on you 😍 I really enjoy watching you apply the eyeshadow as you describe the process with the insert on the corner of the trios/quads you come up with for each look. I'd also like to know if you were wearing primer on the back of your hand when swatching with the brushes and what primer were you using on your lids (hoping the primer could make a difference in the wear time?). Last, could you zoom in more on the finished look, please? Thank you for another great video ♥

Hi! I like all palettes, and they are all on my wishlist. Because of the economics that they are and the number of shadows they have, I think you can't ask for more. You have many different looks and you can enjoy playing with colours a lot. Thank you for your work !

I mostly use BYS eyeshadow palettes as they come in a tin (less plastic is always good) are easy to blend, shimmer shadows are great and last all day (12 hours) and come with minimal fallout. They are $14 AUD.
I have 1 Rimmel palette which is nice too, the Tarte Clay Play 1 palette which is so beautiful and an Essence shimmer palette which is just okay but I love the colours.
I kinda wish you had tried the vibrant green shades in the emerald palette, but the video did show off how pigmented most of them are so I'm happy to try it myself
I ordered the Amethyst palette- at first I didn’t care for it but after playing around with it I really started loving the colors.

I am eyeing the Diamond palette, the colors seem to have a smokey look to them. The silver grey colors are nice.
Thanks for this video Jen! After watching this I've decided on the amethyst palette. It's got the same vibe as the immortalis palette but with a lot more shades. I was also after something purple, but not "punched in the eye" purple. Xx

When I first saw them, I was thinking in buying at least the diamond and the amethyst ones. But then I thought better, and realized that the rose quartz was going to be the one I would use more so I added that one. Then I thought once again, and realized that, as you said, the rose quartz one is pretty similar to the Gilded one from last Christmas that I already have, and the Diamond one has the same vibe of the "Black is the new black" palette from Makeup Obsession and the new black-grey reloaded palette (both of them I already have), and looking at the amethyst, I think that those purples and lilacs are not vibrant enough for my taste (and I have Huda's Amethyst obssesion, which already covers that spot pretty well), so in the end, I decide not to purchase any of them, because I really prefer to buy the two new Color Focus palettes and the other new palette from Revolution Pro. Those three are really stunning, and as I really really liked the three previous palettes from Revolution Pro, and these new three are from the same collections, I'd rather buy those ones for this holidays.
I have many palettes, and I used to buy almost anything new from Revolution Beauty brands, but now I've decided to be more selective, and look at them better before buying, because I've bought some of them (like the big pride one) that in reality, don't have so much appeal to me, and probably I will end up gifting to someone else without even touching them.

I've already checked out the palettes at the Revolution website. After you gave us your terrific explanation of each and swatched the pigments, I don't think I'll be purchasing. I am so overwhelmed with what I have, and plan on new ones as soon as Target displays their new eyeshadow palettes coming next month.

Jen, you are so awesome and I truly love your videos! The amethyst is calling my name but I have also been eyeing the avocado palette. I love greens and one of my favorite palettes among my many many palettes is the Tribe by Juvia's Place.
I love how thorough your reviews are. I created several tutorials with some of the Revolution Precious Stone palettes and found that the quality is inconsistent. I loved one (Rose Quartz- the shadows all worked great), hated one (Ruby-the shimmers crumbled and didn't transfer onto the brush), and one came broken (Diamond). 🤷♀️ Anyways, loved your video--subbed! 💜

@@731kym thanks for the feedback. I don't like to show application on my eyes when I'm doing multiple looks because it makes the video way too long. I show application when I'm doing one or two looks usually.
The ruby palette seems disappointing. The swatches all pulled coral warm tones. Rubies are deep red and there wasnt even one true deep red!

Good comparison videos to other palettes, Jen. I find it interesting that some brands are moving to this style of layout for their palettes. The Rose Quartz Precious Stone also gives me the new Kat Von D Lolita Por Vida vibes except Kat's palette does not have a whole row of the special shades just three including a pressed glitter. Of course formulation will be different. These Revolution Precious Stones are pretty and you did good looks with them. Very wearable. Do you think the formula and performance are better in these Precious Stones compared to their Forever Flawless palettes?
I got ruby. Colors are bomb on chocolate skin!
I don’t think I need to add any of these to my collection just based off the fact that I have many palettes and could probably find the colors in my current collection, but for $15 - I think that’s a great price point and would definitely feel like they’re worth picking up if I needed to add these color stories!

TJ Max has many now for $5.99 that’s a deal! And they are great! I got the Mermaids in a blue box and the black Flawless Four I think is called? I think I’ll get some more love the colors! Precious Stones! Haven’t tried their blushes yet.

The Ruby one reminds me the Coloured Raine Queen of Hearts palette, the color story and the finishes seem very similar to me, and possibly could be a dupe for. (I left this comment just before I see that you precisely talk about it 😂)

Yes! I love those! I think they're the best formula MUR has!
At the price point do you think Juvias Place palettes and makeup revolution, colourpop, etc. Would be the best formula?
Colourpop hands down. Shimmers are better than JP and longevity beats MR. But if you are a matte lover JP may be your best one.

Pretty Palettes.
Purchased all 5 when I saw them available on the ULTA site, these are online only. The problem is that 4 of the 5 arrived damaged, they reshipped and the Amethyst arrived damaged again. ULTA will not reship again, I am so over ULTA’s crappy shipping and the lack of packing materials to protect items shipped. Thanks for mentioning that they are available on MUR website, they weren’t a couple of weeks ago.
Aw that stinks! I didn't realize Ulta won't re-ship, that's not right, especially if they didn't package them correctly. I will say, Makeup Revolution has been great when it comes to replacing broken orders and they've also gotten a lot better with their packaging.
I'm always so surprised when people have a bad packing experience from Ulta, because even when I get two items in that ridiculous box, there is a giant bunch of air-wrap in it plus one of those air pillows! The only thing I ever received broken was a Winky Lux palette I purchased as a gift, and I returned it once I saw the shades live (realized it really wasn't for the person). Broken product is such a downer.
ULTA will only replace once and in my case the replacement for the Amethyst palette was damaged as well. If shipping doesn’t take care to properly package the items, of course they are going to arrive damaged! It gets so frustrating for me since I do place a lot of orders. My poor husband dreads seeing the ULTA boxes on the door step! He has noticed that 9/10 times the packages that arrive damaged are coming from the Dallas distribution warehouse. I am just to the point that while I love their points program, the frustration is not worth it.
Got back from a business trip yesterday with 2 ULTA orders and 2 Sephora orders waiting for me, of course one of the ULTA orders had 3 damaged items and the other 3 boxes were fine. I am just going to haul the broken crap to the closest store and get a refund, the frustration of dealing with their customer service reps and all the broken merchandise has become a deal breaker for me! They are stealing that joy I used to feel when I come home from traveling to find my online orders delivered, it’s like little presents to myself. When you open a box and everything inside is covered in colored powder, glitter, etc. and you don’t even want to touch it, yeah that takes the fun out of makeup!

dang i love the rose quartz palette but you're right, it's not unique of a colour scheme. I probably do have a lot of the same colours in other palettes 🤔🤔
