    I think only manager should be replaced by AI, it will keep track of everything and Flatterers will be thrown out. Eventually will make life easier for everyone.

    Who will save when your manager starts micro managing things.
    If you want to go up then you have no option other than saying Yes Yes and Yes.
    Doesn't matter what you bring in the project.
    If you want 20% hike then you should be on their good books then in that case forget about team or team work.

    Most of the companies have JIRA or any ticket management application to track all of the individual works/Tasks. No need to track on excel. But other points really useful especially the insight for promotion.

    • @sahilkakkar2156
      @sahilkakkar2156 4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, agreed. But as a good practice, always ask manager to assign task/story on JIRA so that you can log your efforts for each & every task.

    Since in the probation period I would say that it's better to keep track of yourself and share it with your team/peers, ask your manager it is ok to share this daily work/ progress report with them

    There is available product mostly track daily activity, day, hours and project code. Breach time line, utilization of team members. And Weekly it can be verify by manager. I guess most of the company use such products and also may check KPI every 6 months.

    Thanks a lot, but I have few questions:
    --> Back-burners: Major chunk of tasks are managed in jira, should I still log it somewhere like notepad or not.
    There are still few tasks that are logged nowhere, like me providing KT to new members or helping others and few heavy task too like monitoring jenkins few times a year; should I ask manager to create jira ticket for it or log it on notepad?
    --> How to tell my manager, if I want to go onsite.
    --> Examples of how to make noise, for promotion / growth / getting something ?
    --> I have a task from lot many days, I am suffering from it, I don't think getting 2 more week gonna do anything in it; but TL is not unassigning saying SLA has passed, but it passed even before I got that task

    Why should an employee endeavour to do much to get validation of his efforts? Is it not total collaspe of the corporate management if they cannot recognise which employee is working and which not? Why do the managers deliberately put a blind eye to the efforts of good workers? Why do the managers get insecure with the confidence of a good worker?
    If the Bosses do not want to vadidate your work and efforts, whatever you have suggested will be of no good.
    Hope you understand... I am being very straight forward.

    • @anujain654
      @anujain654 4 місяці тому +5

      Agree with you! However, this seems to be the harsh reality of how corporates work.
      And to top it, many managers/ corporates won't recognise your efforts till the time you start buttering.

    • @JitenderSingh-ml9cf
      @JitenderSingh-ml9cf 4 місяці тому +2

      @@anujain654 appreciate your reply to the point👌
      You have spoken like me, it is only buttering/ pampering least they are concerned about consistent good work done. Any incompetent guy can fill the gap if he/ she butters.
      The bosses may like to humiliate you by substituting your work from another guy. You feel like telling the boss that the same can be done with him as well.
      No one wants real work in corporate world, it is only baseless meetings, targets, credit snatching and waste of productive time.

    Hi, it’s a good video. Thanks. I had a question, what if you are working from home due to some family responsibilities and it is approved by the top leaders, but what if it impacts your promotion and also what if you are not given quality work only because of wfh? What would an experienced individual do in that case? If quitting is not a solution at all. Thanks.

    Ma’am I’m a fresher. I have certain doubts can u please clarify
    1. How much does the starting package effect the growth in your career, if someone starts at 6lpa and after gaining experience you switch u cant ask for 8-9 lpa.. why HR always calculate on your existing ctc and not the market rate.
    2. How much effect does mba institute reputation plays a role after 25-30 years of experience. Because I have seen several examples where a tier 2 college pass out is on directors position

    points are good. but it is so dated, everything is in record, your tasks, lines checked in. Instead of volunterring and burning out yourself. Invest your time on yourself, be a hero in cracking interviews than being at mercy of someone else. you will be paid with better salaries. These are exactly kind of managers, that drive the company from fame to doom. Manager who doesn't recognize best employees are the only reason for company failures. The era of non technical managers are long gone, but they are still hanging out there due to inefficient leadership. however its the reality

    I'm afraid this is too generic of an advice. There is too much presumption in the video about companies, managers, HR's all being too ideal and honest and caring in my opinion. This maybe a good practice however isn't practical and will certainly not result in better appraisals.
    Truth be told its slowly becoming a trend to kill yearly hikes at a broader scale. From a company operations point of view it makes total sense as they would obviously wish to keep their expenses in a non increasing pattern even if its at the cost of employees.
    With the advent of AI this trend of minimal to no hikes will become even more prevalent. The pay disparity where people with niche and multiple variate skills get paid well and people with general skills dont is how its going to be. We can choose to accept it or not.
