- Cast and creatives of Netflix's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" (Albert Kim, Jabbar Raisani, Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Arden Cho, Elizabeth Yu) gather with moderator Perri Nemiroff at PaleyFest 2024 to celebrate their show. Topics include: how producers tried to appease fans of Nickelodeon's 2005-2008 animated version of the show via a live-action rendition; the specific scene that made each actor first connect with their character; what 14-year-old Cormier has learned from being the show's on-set "leader"; the cast's travails when attending "boot camp" to master the characters' demanding physical skills; changes that have been made from the animated version's storyline; a new quality that each actor will more fully explore in the upcoming season; and how cast members' newfound fame from working on the show has affected them.
thank you paleyfest for posting the full panel 💜
GORDON'S ALWAYS SAYING THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD LMAO 😭
Hearing Dallas/Paul talk about their dynamic on screen and their process to get to that believable Nephew/Uncle relationship was so articulate and polished! I'm quite impressed with Lizzy and Dallas in particular-- their composure and professionalism come out like they've been in the business for years. Meanwhile Gordon is nervously fishing for words, Kia won't stop giggling and fidgeting her hands, and Ian is that impressionable college grad interviewing for his first job. You can tell they're newbies to all this, but they're doing their best. :D
Such an amazing cast! Hope people get to know them even more like watching their panel. Excited for s2 and s3!
The cast was the best part of the show, I love them so much! Can’t wait to see the panel

UNCLE ZUKO 😭
Somebody pls make it😂
Thank for upload it..i thought i missed it
Aww todos son bien lindos, se nota que aman mucho sus personajes y hay mucha expectativa para las siguientes temporadas
47:06 I felt Zuko & Uncle Iroh story is the most interesting and loveliest part in session 1 LA even though their screen time much less than the main trio. I agree with Dallas, hopefully when it comes to his ‘betrayal’ part, they should make it carefully believable that it comes out of his very deep desperation to go back home. When I recently revisit the scene on the animated version, it just felt like too sudden for Zuko to side with Azula after ‘just’ her little manipulated speech, when minutes before he has the moment of compassion with Katara.
12:53 bebitooo 🥺🥺
Love all of them
Why is kiawentio so nervous 😢
I just love dallas so much

დავიჯერო ვინმე ჩემსავით ისეთი გიჟი ფანი ხართ საქართველოდან რო ასეთ სიღრმეებში გიყვართ ავატარი და ამას ელოდებით?
Btw. Avatar the last bender? Who hire that anchor?
They should follow the animated series and focus more on AANG.
This is not avatar the last airbender this is zuko the banished prince
Lowkey even though I like the show😭 you’re right. Whoever made this was clearly a gigantic zuko fan 😂 they didn’t build the relationship with aang/katara/sokka at all but they damn sure built the Iroh and zuko relationship 💀
@@caleb4851they did, and its the most least telling part of the show, you should rewatch the show. They did the main 3 character arc very carefully
Well said! Albert Kim once talked about how Zuko is arguably the most popular and loved character in the ATLA franchise... and you can definitely tell this adaptation is focusing on the Fire Nation and Zuko's emotional redemption arc. Aang is kind of just there as an influential sounding board, and Katara and Sokka might as well be prop pieces. :D
You all need new writers
Thankyou so much for the High Quality panel, I enjoyed it a lot!🫶
Let's go
