This win against Atletico Madrid is simply a reflection of just how immense Real Madrid’s season has been. In that game they were behind twice, conceded an unfortunate own goal, and despite the great game plan from Diego Simeone in frustrating them in the 2nd half, these guys went on to win the game during extra time. He’s just not suited to that role. He is a touchline winger. Not comfortable playing inside. Real third goal, perfect example of what he is good at. Stretched the whole defense by pulling wide but Unfortunately there wasn’t enough teammates in the box for a simple cutback… so he tried to score but he forced a save and the goal came. With Benzema there that is a simple cutback and goal.

One thing that Diego Simeone successfully done was Bellingham is now twice successfully neutralized by Atletico with twice bad performances as similarly done by Sevilla's Diego Alonso and Ukraine's Serhiy Rebrov but failed by two Napoli's manager Rudi Garcia - Walter Mazzari and also Italy's Luciano Spaletti. I think Simeone learn from Ukraine's Rebrov success on stopping Bellingham by not man-marked him by applying zone-marking while Ukraine's manager (Rotan) before Rebrov failed to do so by man-marked Bellingham. Player like Bellingham who is very versatile and can play in many position while also playing as false 9, false 10, false 7 & 11 which also very smart in his movement shouldn't be tightly man-marked. And with Bellingham's natural prowess of endurance (stamina and strength) which is a great gift by God can't be matched by any defensive players who try to man-marked and followed him. Just let him play his own game and let him make every of his silly runs and he will tiring himself when in zonal-marking no defensive players are interested in following Bellingham runs but keep the zone safe and this was perfectly done by Atletico which made Bellingham frustrated. Often Bellingham runs create spaces for his teammates to score and he himself often leave his marker to dead because of his physical prowess but he himself will also dead if he was allowed to runs until tiring himself when in zonal-marking no extra spaces for him.
This would often come at the expense of the defenders having to mark up to 3 players at a time. While Bellingham was silenced yesterday, Real Madrid could easily toy with the defenders and move the ball with intricate passes into the Atletico box using the rest of the players. Should've resulted in a lot of goals but Atletico just about managed to block the ball in many cases. It was a good answer from Ancelotti too. Bellingham would have to get used to this a lot from now on.
Barca and Madrid need to spread the funds around the league. Madrid have the best players itw and depth other clubs don’t have that. Only city can match them rn
@@thecaveman7360what are you spouting about? City is billionaire owned club. Of course, they could afford just any players. Madrid hv their own fund as a fully functioningly proper club where as they hv their collective money from major tournament prizes/major sponsorship prizes, selling off players and clearing their wages. Barca had trade off their clubs broadcasting licences and etc in order to rebuild that sizable of squad depths. Totally different scenario. How about city start that first since EPL is struggling in euroean level. Spanish club has 4 champions in each of their group in GS UCL. So, they are good teams
Great game, class goal by Griezzi. In the last minutes of the normal time when Atleti went back to defending I knew they were going to lose. Before the extra time I was telling my dad that it doesn't matter that if you're 1 goal behind, even or 1 goal ahead you have to attack and make the goal gap larger not to sit back and defend. Now I'm not saying defending is bad, it's necessary but not for most of the time. Atleti went back to default after conceding the 3rd goal and I didn't see anything from them in the extra time, it's like Simeone gets scared and while Oblak is the better keeper if the game went to penalties I think Kepa would've had a better performance so it was a defeat for Atleti regardless. Also before the 5th goal for Real when I saw Oblak going for a header I said there's no need for you to be there go back, conceding 4 is better than 5. I feel like Atleti is missing something in their mentality which holds them down and if they don't find it before the Inter game they will be in trouble and even if they get past Inter how far can they go? If this is how they're going to play the next 2 games against Real it will probably end like this one for them. Great game regardless of everything

Swear to god if i need to watch Kepa one more time in goal i will simply not watch that game :D
Dani Carvajal is so underrated it’s a joke
Real Madrid the dream team, we always pray for miracles and miracle arrived.
Vini Jr is so useless on attack and all he does is dive. He’s made Madrid worse since his return. Trade him for Mbappe, and then activate Haaland’s release clause for a proper striker. 💪🏽
Clown
He’s just not suited to that role. He is a touchline winger. Not comfortable playing inside.
Real third goal, perfect example of what he is good at. Stretched the whole defense by pulling wide but Unfortunately there wasn’t enough teammates in the box for a simple cutback… so he tried to score but he forced a save and the goal came.
With Benzema there that is a simple cutback and goal.
Nonsense……
Did you forget about his injuries and also, he just got healthy. He’s played two games so please be quiet and calm.
Did you ever consider checkin g with your parents whether you fell on your head in your childhood?
Lol seriously, people forget vini just came back from injury
toni kroos subbing in at 6 changed the complexion of the game entirely
6 minutes?! 😂 Really guys... Come on 😢
Bruh 😂 if you didn't notice ESPN do not like Real Madrid I picked up on this recently anytime Real Madrid accomplish anything they talk it less than five minutes anything Mid City does despite ho😢 mediocre they have been gets half an hour the bias is real
@@Model_Roe doesn't make sense. How do you sum up that blockbuster in 6mins😂😂
@@titus2940 because they're biased towards EPL and English players that's why even they don't really like to talk about Laliga they will discuss Jude because he's English I think it's because they know Real Madrid are very likely to win the UCL and the biggest competitors to EPL
Carvajal MOTM
Kepa should have done better for those Atletico goals. Courtois or lunin wuold have atleast saved two of them
Kepa depressed again me so much today
As a neutral fan this was a great game..
i think rodrygo more effective play from the bench, for the final i wish brahim play as starting.
Im so happy for Brahim, i hope keep the place of vinicius or rodrygo 😁
Barca and Madrid need to spread the funds around the league. Madrid have the best players itw and depth other clubs don’t have that. Only city can match them rn
I Agree.
Liverpool and Madrid comeback kings
If you’re not a Madrid supporter sorry you don’t know soccer.. what a team
griezmann...what agoal.. but atletico lost so nobody would even mention it...
Carvajal is a great player imo.
Maabless
Lunin needs to start over Kepa
Super game from Real Madrid. Bellingham was poor and Ancelloti needs to give up on the 4-4-2..
Power of Real Madrid 🤍😎🗿💪 Be ready opponents, we are coming for the UCL again😎
Griezmann is easiy top 3 most underrated players of this gen
