My group and I used to go there and serve the orphanages. We couldn't go there now due to the difficult disposition with Mexican Customs and Borders to go back to the US, and there was high crime in its region. You both took impromptu adventure.

It used to be possible to take the train from Campo to Tecate for a brewery tour and some shopping and dining, then the train would take you back to Campo.
They don't do that anymore, though.
So Tecate ( spelling?) Beer is manufactured in this town? Would make sense.

I was at the grocery store today and an elderly lady waiting in line told me that she lived in a senior apartment complex and they were losing their homes and being replaced by illegals. The complexes get a lot more money from the govt to house illegals.
