Trust me, Thiru is one of the most vibrant, always happy dudes I've ever come across. I met him in New York a few months ago. I was bummed to learn that he was closed for the day however Thiru was super sweet, and told me to come the next day, for a made to order breakfast sadly that was also the day I was flying out. Hopefully I can be on time the next time I'm back in New York.

Yeah, Tamilians make me feel like that as well, they are super-nice, hardworking peple, who are always grateful for their fate in life. Can't say the same about us Malayalees, ie we are a neighbouring state south of Tamil Nadu(yes there are some in Sri Lanka too)

it's the reasonable price in US like here 20 or 30rs is the reasonable price but rich people still go eat at expensive places like chutneys which is much more expensive than this man's prices (cause of people like him our Indians can taste food that feels like home )and Americans can know the real taste of Indian food and it's vegan so he's my hero

We Sri Lankan Tamils make and eat thosai(dosa),idli,vadai,puttu,hoppers,string hoppers etc. most of our foods are same to TN food. These are our traditional foods too. If you visit to Sri Lankan tamils’s places, you can get these foods.

jep piah it is called Thosai in Tamil language. There are many dialects in India. It is also called Dosa in the North and in some states in the South of India such as Kerala etc.

What about the harsh winters?what does he do then?
New York winters are surprisingly mild. They wear extra layered clothing. When they get too cold they take shelter in a nearby store to warm up and get back out there. The cooking range also provides you lot of heat. During severe snow storms they stay home. I used to work in Manhattan so I used to observe these things.
In winter it is extra spicy to warm you up. lol
The street food doesn't shut down even if the weather goes below zero degree.

Vegan/ vegetarian food needs to stop trying to imitate meat and just make a combination of food that tastes good. Indian/ South Asian vegetarian food is a prime example that vegetarian food doesnt have to taste like ass.
