- I didn't have time to create a new file for this run so went in with NG+, a "fake" one at that since I kept the same level as my main run and just used it to re-fight Mohg and Malenia. As a huge fan of the main game, I've been patiently waiting to see what Fromsoft have cooked up to try and live up to one of the most iconic games of its era. My previous experience with the Bloodborne DLC was so positive that it elevated my entire opinion of the game overall. But with Elden Ring already being as incredible as it was for me, I'm just hoping for more of the same. Let's find out if we'll get it together.
The playthrough is likely to be very long, spanning tens of hours even after editing. Buckle up for a long journey, this is one of those games that seems like it definitely should not be rushed. Enjoy the ride!

One of the reasons I like your play through, is your more Thorough. I realized i missed like 3 things watching this.
I found you from final fantasy, I stayed with for elden ring. (I dont watch complete playthroughs, but I stay and chill from time to time)
A little late to the party, but now that I've finished all but the final boss of the DLC it's time to show my support for this series :)
Love Taker's Flames move. Reminds me of Squall's Blasting Zone limit break
Theres a new qol option in system menu. It will mark recent items found but you have to turn it on in the menu.
I love how you’re always down for a challenge. I ran away from the furnace guy as soon as I saw how little damage I was doing

Word of wisdom:
1] Dodge is better than attack
2] armor is worthless if it slows you down, has no elemental protection, resistance against status ailments.
3] survivability is about skill, adaptation to situational changes, STAMINA (not face-tanking)
4] bosses are about preparation (hindsight is 20-20)
Use talismans wisely... attack (style) if you have skill, defensive if you are learning mechanics, none if you are a wretch (*wink*)
Weapons are a matter of taste/style/comfort... flexibility will be the new epic in this expansion (with burst damage), parry + crit (comeback?), status condition vs boss weaknesses? (he he he, I see).
Note: lion face boss is of Chinese origin (dance with 2 people garbed in a costume for the emperor/governor of a region). Watch kung-fu movies and see. North and South kung-fu have very different styles. (Jet-li has some good ones imo, but there are better ones not known in the west).

I dont know why he is saying it is gatekeeping to think certain things take away from the challenge in Elden Ring. This channel was literally founded on not using everything available in a game to create a challenge. Dark Anima NO Sphere Grid NO Zanmato
It's not gatekeeping to think it but it's gatekeeping to tell others you must play with those restrictions or your exp is invalid. That's what he is trying to say about it.
That's the thing though, the way he played ER was like spamming Zanmato on every boss in FFX lol. Nothing wrong with that though, as long as you've fun
