I recorded at Normandy Studios in Warren RI just after they finished this album. Tom Soares, the engineer said that he was going out for a minute and said listen to this, he pressed play on Born To Expire. When he came back he went to shut it off, and we stopped him. He said, "This is going to cost you over a hundred dollars an hour to listen to." We said to keep it playing. Well worth it.
Didn't get this album until around 2010 or so. Always felt 'Desperate Measures' was untouchable. After spending considerable time with this incredible album, I have to say it's untouchable as well. Simply incredible shit. 'Be loud' was my ring tone for awhile. This shit rocks.
@@louiscsanko3673 I find it tough to tune in, nowadays. I barely know what their programming is like, anymore. I have satellite, now, and LiquidMetal and Ozzy's Boneyard are reliable channels for me. But the 80s during my high school years were kick-ass for WSOU. That, and Sunday Night Metal Shop on 105.5 WDHA, with the now illustrious Eddie Trunk. Who still does radio shows, but does a Metal discussion talk show, and is still fun to listen to.
Sat down confessed it with a full report Dashed it out but he couldn't take it Had to drop dime, through a partner in crime Got away without serving his time Snitches get stitches The thread on your cheek must itch Snitches get stitches You got yours you son of a bitch The mark of the squealer Too soft to be the dealer And nothing can heal you Mark of the squealer The mark of the squeal I'm out on a mission To catch a stool pigeon
For those who dont know the Mark of the Squealer is from a Movie called Dead End (1937) with Humphrey Bogart and the Dead End Kids. The "mark'is a slice from a pocketknife on the cheek of a snitch.
Anthrax are biters not leeway. After leeway demo came out and scott and charlie came to a hardcore show at CB's they changed their whole sound (among the living style from spreading the disease style) anthrax used to put NYHC on tshirts and never were a part of the scene (other than having a club in CT named after them) the only anthrax album I like is spreading the disease cause after that their entire sound was stolen. Nuclear assault blows anthrax away so does leeway! Had they gotten put on earlier they would have been huge.
