at age 23 I had ovarian cancer .I had no idea that i had it . I was well looked after and at that time the only treatment was surgery . I eventually had an ovary removed with one of my tubes. I am talking about 1973 . I am now 76 and doing well. 5 years ago i had stomach cancer , then skin cancer. I am so fortunate I have had the best people look after me and I am doing so well. I pray for anyone who has had to go through this. Stay positive . hugs xxx
Thank you for this video. Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with menopause symptoms after a total hysterectomy (due to ovarian cancer)? Obviously, HRT is off the table...
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! I'm delighted to hear that you found the video informative and beneficial. It is best to consult with me for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan bit.ly/3EmExdU
I was diagnosed 3 years ago with a rare ovarian cancer (adult Granulosa cell tumour) I had just turned 50. My only symptom was bleeding, like an ongoing period. I had no bloating, pain or usual more common symptoms. I had the ca125 test which was negative, eventually as a last resort I had a blood test called Inhibin A and B and the numbers were through the roof. I had surgery to remove an orange size tumour. Chemo does not help with this type of rare cancer. Luckily my tumour didn’t burst so I now just have to be screened every 6 months for life 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your experience underscores the importance of early detection and specialized testing, especially for rare conditions like adult Granulosa cell tumors. It's incredible that you received the proper diagnosis despite the challenges you faced. Regular screenings and vigilance are essential for managing your health, and your positive outlook is truly inspiring. 🌟 Stay strong, and we're sending you all the best wishes for your ongoing screenings and continued well-being! 🙏🏻💪🌼
Thank you for sharing. I’m taking notes. What a blessing to have a doc that is so proactive. I have post menopausal bleeding and asked for the CA 125 and he said no. He wanted me to take some very expensive abortion med to do a biopsy. I walked out 😡. When something in my gut doesn’t feel right. I listen. Thanks again for sharing
I'm so sorry for you loss. My Mom who was also named Mary, died from Ovarian Cancer at the age of 43. She only lived 4 months after her diagnosis. Thank you so much for the informative video.
Asking my gyn for a CA125. Just did the ultrasound. I started hrt therapy switched from the patch 2x per week to the daily estrogel. And after a year started getting my period every 3 weeks. Stopped all hrt treatments until all the testing is done. Your input is so very helpful thank you and my condolences 💐 the portrait of Mary is lovely.
I wish the current medical community would get serious about these symptoms. At age 62 I’m lucky if a gynecologist will take the time for a thorough exam much less order tests.
I understand your frustration, and it's essential for the medical community to address these issues seriously. It can sometimes be challenging to find healthcare providers who take the time for comprehensive exams, but don't give up on advocating for your health. Please feel free to arrange a meeting with me so that we may talk about your health and well-being objectives and discuss your questions in more detail bit.ly/3EmExdU
I’ve had numerous ovarian cysts removed surgically throughout the years. When I feel symptoms emerge again (and fortunately haven’t for a couple of years) I’m told my ovaries can’t be seen via ultrasound because after a hysterectomy they become tiny and “float” around within the body. Is this true? Age 62. Thank you.
Best informative video about ovarian cancer I've watched ❤ I'm 5years in on my ovarian cancer journey and this is my third cancer come-back, I am on my fourth round of chemo as we speak. I'm feeling very very blessed for my extra years ❤
**May, you are incredibly strong.** Five years is a long journey, and facing cancer three times is unimaginable. Your positivity and determination are inspiring. I'm so glad the video was helpful. Please know that you're not alone in this fight. There's a strong community of support out there. Sending you strength and healing energy.
I had ovarian cancer 3 years ago. I had fluid and they had to drain it out. I had a tumor removed and the cancer . I was stage 3 when i was diagnosed.before surgery had 15 treatment of chemo.
I was diagnosed at 42 with stage 3c ovarian cancer. The only symptom I experienced was that I had my period every three weeks. First idea was stress, it took a while until the real reason was found. I am now 61.
I'm deeply sorry to hear about your diagnosis, and I admire your strength and resilience throughout your journey. Ovarian cancer can be challenging to detect, and it's unfortunate that the symptom of frequent periods was initially attributed to stress. Your experience underscores the importance of listening to our bodies and advocating for our health. I'm glad to hear you're now 61, and I hope you're receiving the support and care you deserve. If you ever need someone to talk to or support, know that I'm here for you. Stay strong.

What symptoms are you currently experiencing? When is the last time you have had your ovaries checked via ultrasound?
Can you please tell me if early stage ovarian cancer can be misdiagnosed as a cyst?

Informative, but the healthcare in the US stinks unless you can afford out of pocket care.
This is definitely a CON in way of screening.
Could this also be fibroid symptoms too
some of these can be.
