This is the best Strung Out song ever. I couldn't stop listening to it when it came out... amazing. The whole thing, the main riff, the transitions, the solo, the intro/outro... it's 100% banger. You guys also played it live one of the times I've seen you 🤘
Ahh this fucking rules! Probably my favorite solo ever. Definitely my favorite song on TAD. Would also love to see Rob’s parts too, because this is definitely one of those songs where both parts together make it so powerful.
This is so good! I love the song and knew it was intricate, but didn't realise it was THIS intricate - even hybrid picking! The tips at the end are really good, and different (in a good way) to guitar content I usually watch on YT... So sick
Thank you very much Josh, yea I try to incorporate whatever the most efficient patterns and sequences are so I don’t get caught up in a speed trap! Haha cheers, hope any of it is helpful!🍻
Love the Eb tuning and the counterpoint of the arpeggiated lines against the chords. It’s a phenomenal texture where the sum is greater than the parts.
Best song on TAD for me, Thank you for the memories on the TAD Europe tour in 2015, stoked to have met you afew of those dates, I was on tour doing merch for a friends band Dead Neck, and we had a show together in Berlin, finished the tour headed back to the U.K only to find out you were playing Brighton, what a way to finish a tour, I hope we can get you back in the U.K, if not ill see you at Brakrock next year, Thanks again for the amazing memories
Gosh darn that guitar is beautiful! tell Jackson to do a run of them and I'll buy one immediately!! Shredding as always man, hope to see you back in OZ soon, take care! Micka
Just found your channel and love the play thru's. Much appreciated as a fan. This one and Blueprint are my favorites of all time, and would love to see Lost Motel or Virginia Madison if you get around to it. Velvet Alley would be dope, too. Apprecitate it and can't wait to see you guys back on tour
Jake! Met you and the band @ Crafthouse in Pittsburgh in Oct 2019, on a weeknight...when no one was there! Needless to say, it was a fuckin' banger! That's when RJ was really sick, but fucking crushed it during the set! Anyway, keep rockin' out and hope to see you on the road soon. P.S. I'm going to PRB and I wanted to go to Strung Out's after party but it sold out. Until next time..
Hey Jake! Nolan here, you played with my band Swill one of the last times you were in Jacksonville. Would love to see a playthrough of Saturday night or Alien amplifier if you get the chance. Hope you guys have been doing good
Hey what's up Jake? We met at the first show at the twisted by design tour back in 2018 I was wondering if you could do a playthrough of your part in the song vampires? The guitar parts in that song really trip me out
@@jakekiley4264 I think you do sometimes. I think music is an awesome thing to learn, even if you do your own study, learn at your own pace. You don’t have to be the most talented person, you just learn and practice.
@@markgoodwin5306 I actually think determination and a desire to keep pushing your own playing will take you further then natural talent in most cases👍🏼
Regarding the graphic on your guitar. I once told Jason that I thought Darth Vader (from Rogue One) might sue your band for using his Bacta Tank image lol.
Black Maps is brutal!!! So many intricate parts, that's why Strung Out is my favorite band!
Thank you Raphael! Yea sometimes I’m like, why do we make our lives this hard, haha
Wow!!!! Looks like my toxic trait is thinking I could actually play this! You made that look soooo easy!

I should probably just turn my distortion back on for a while and forget about Jazz harmony pool I fell into.
Haha no way man, I’d love to study that stuff!
@@jakekiley4264 It’s fun and I’ve learned a lot. I just got SUPER bored with hardcore. So I went down a theory rabbit hole haha.

Just been recording some music demos
I’ve been listening to music and so cal punk a long time. I’m like who dis band? Sounds like I didn’t miss anything.
It appears you miss a lot.
Hey Jake, keep these vids coming, they're great! I'm wondering who did the custom paint job on this guitar? Cheers!
Thank you Craig! It was painted by Dan Lawrence, an absolute legend! Check him out at DRL Graphics
