Hi Johi! Thanks for reacting to Voice of Baceprot! I sent you this link just before your Indonesian week, some time ago. These girls are from Garut-West Java, and are Muslims. The band was formed in 2014. You can imagine how hard it was for them to play this kind of music, being women in a Muslim country! They have faced opposition from conservative Muslims, in their home town, but started being known with some covers on UA-cam (remember someone?) and were finally accepted. They are really good! They also said in a recent interview that they're working on a new project, perhaps even a debut album. They planned to do a European tour last year but it was cancelled due to covid.
If Les Claypool was singing something outrageous over that opening riff I would swear it was Primus. Then the chorus kicks in and we're back to a more recognizable rock vibe. Interesting mix of influences here.
