Sangat" dalam n kuat pesan dari lirik" lagu VOB,,,dh gk bisa ngomong ap" lagi tentang VOB bangga,,,salut n hormat ma VOB masih muda,,,bertalenta juga inspiratif...
When you were 14-15 yo ... Being little girls wearing hijab ... Raising in poor family ... Living in the small village ... Going to school by walking about 2-3 hours everyday ... No internet connection ... Do not know about musical instrument ... Got bullied and persecutions ... No support at all from family, everyone and society ... So you really need extra ordinary FAITH and BRAVERY ... And that is VOB !!! And in my humble opinion VOB is just like KIDS who feel confusing why there's so many chaos, injustices, intolerance, and so many more bad things in the world ... They just try to think a simple mind that why can't we just doing some nice and good things in this world ... So, all they can do now is SCREAMING Out Loud by their Music and Lyrics and WISHING everyone will listen to and think about all of these ... Btw, this song they created and played when they were STILL in Senior High School ...
So sad about the injustices in the world. Im happy VOB can release their pain and frustration into their music. Hope change comes soon. Thanks again for ur comment(s), Imam. ~ Tazzz ~

Voice of Baceprot chose "School Revolution" as their milestone in navigating the world of music professionally. This hip metal song has undergone a very significant process. Their output sounds more mature. The weakness of the school system and the injustice that sticks out, is the main theme of this song. Voice of Baceprot does not give speeches in front of the school while protesting against policies that they consider inappropriate. They choose the medium of harmony as a medium for conveying messages that are considered inconsistent with their conscience. "School Revolution" can at least represent the students of knowledge who have voiced their protests. "Our song was recorded through a truly extraordinary process. Cool recording studio. And of course, working with famous musicians. Stephen Santoso [DeadSquad] has turned our song into something that sounds amazing. Honestly, amazed!” said Firdda "Marsya" Kurnia who is also the leader of VoB. According to her, "School Revolution", is a form of criticism to make the education system better and positive. "For us, this song is an expression of our hearts as students about our search for identity at school. We consider that a person who is studying wants to maximize what should be our rights as students and maximize our lifeline through the knowledge we get at educational institutions, "explained the vocalist who idolizes Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine). "We want to give a positive view to many music lovers, that the lifeline of every creature is different. Some are destined to become doctors, teachers, even artists. So, we want to be artists who can have a positive impact on people who previously had negative thoughts. We want music to change for the better. Through music, we want to be fully human, not discriminated against," she concluded.
Thank you for the quotes from, VOB. Very saddening but empowering at the same time. Thank goodness for music. It allows sooooooo many people to release pain, anger, frustrations, and happiness in song and melody. I hope a positive change happens in the injustices of the world. Thanks for ur support, and taking the time to write this amazingly detailed comment, Purple Rain. 😏. ~ Tazzz ~

FYI All 3 girls were students at around 14 yo (thats when they started to learn music in 2016!) sent to Detention classes for various disciplinary reasons. Eg. Siti (pronounced as See-Tee) for banging on her desk whenever in class. The story of Marsya (pronounced Mar-Sha) being put in Detention is the actual inspiration behind this song. Story was she was caught coming to school late. Later on she saw a teacher coming late as well and was told to shut up and mind her own business when she voiced her anger to another teacher. When she realised no action would be taken against that tardy teacher she wrote a note on a school's notice board explaining its double standards and soon saw her note ripped off (or deleted or erased) Hence the title of this song. (Ga tau kalo ini cerita yg sebenar tapi gara garanya seperti ini) Maybe not as accurate but definitely along those lines. The remarkable story about them is NONE of them has any musical background or musical DNA within their families. They stumbled upon their Disciplinary teacher's laptop music library and discovered RATM and SOAD and the rest is history. Remember you are talking about a Madrasah (a religious school) in a village, hours from their big city and they found heavy metal music on their teacher's laptop. The idea of any girl being successful at work in their village is to end up as a cashier at a 7-11 equivalent is nothing shocking as most girls their age (late teens) then would already be prepared to be engaged and married off. That's the culture of life where they come from. It's neither wrong or right. It's just the way life goes over there. So for them to be where they are today, having been judged all their lives and having gone through what they have both physically and mentally, I salute and respect this three ladies.
Oh my! What a wonderful and informative comment to read. It is sad and joyous all in one. Happy they are breaking the "norm* where they live. Thanks for sharing. ~ Tazzz ~

Here are lyrics to song: Morning school for sure my body run
Forcing dreams not a single one I understand
Head thrown forced to be brainy
Standard moral tempted by frenzy
Don't try to Judge us now ( 4x)
Behind the the wall
Minds as if being locked
Thousands of dogmas are stricken, til your crocked
If you shout out "freedom!" get ready to be hit or abused
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul falls in the dark side
An d I lose my life
It was dubbed as the most beautiful prison
But doesn't provide any evidence
Just a bunch of rules with zero implications
Leaving history that's been forgotten
Don't try to judge us now (4x)
Many people are only pitting perception
Oppress each other for reasons of vision and mission
Sacrifice the dreams that ended
Up stranded away
Thrown to the obscure and eventually starting to fade away
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul falls in the dark side
And I lose my life
only focused people can survive
Who have a dream and dare to make it realized
Can succeed without making principles sacrificed
Who have the spirits and positive minds
Don't try to judge us now(4x)
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul falls in the dark side
