6 WAYS TO PEEK ANYTHING - WITH ONE ALWAYS READY DEVICE
NOVUS is an app for your iPhone that replicates Apple Notes, perfectly. Allowing you to peek any piece of information in multiple different ways. These are:

WHY ISN'T NOVUS AVAILABLE ON ANDROID?
Every time we launch an app, we get slammed by Android users for two reasons.
If it's not available on Android they immediately insist on telling us how big the market is for android users.
If it is available on Android they immediately flood our support with complaints about how it doesn't look right on their Samsung Note 5, or Google Pixel 2.
THE TRUTH IS that although Android makes up a significant share of the telephone market, it does not make up a significant amount of the magic app buying market. We saw from Picasso that 80% of the problems were experienced by less than 10% of the buyers - Android.
Also, Android is so vast, so customizable and so non-standardized, it's impossible for a single app developer to overcome all issues with all device variants on the market - especially the older, unsupported ones.
Android is also responsible for 100% of the theft of our apps. People can and do hack the system to unlock our apps for free. Something that's impossible on Apple devices... This results in even more lost revenue.
Instead of dealing with the very public backlash from Android users for apps that don't always work right out of the gate, the theft of our apps and the developer hours that mean we operate at a loss, we've decided to focus on IOS only. We'd rather put our everything into one cake than half-baking two.

I understand where you're coming from but I've never owned an I-phone and don't ever plan on it. You're alienating half of the magic population but maybe that's a good thing. As an android user I feel like the kid that has to sit out at PE and watch the rest of the kids play
Android is customizable enough that with the right app and the right knowledge, you could probably do anything anyway. It's all a matter of *permissions* but whatever.
I'd never have the time to figure it out myself and I doubt many others would so... no *Novus* for us then

And probably a good chunk of the android users who complain about the apps not working correctly on their android are those who stole the app in the first place. Trying to get support for something they obtained illegally... SMDH

I'm really interested in this, but what's the justification for having them type it into your phone? I get how the force is justified idk abt the peek though.
You have to act. Make it believable and say usually I use a paper and sharpie but I forgot it today so we’ll use my phone for this instead. Then tell them to think of someone special to them and say I want you to write it down so everyone can see it at the end or say show everyone the name but don’t me see it
Then you lock the phone and put it away. Now you have the information and the rest is performance
If performing one-on-one, I’d tell the spectator: Now, just so you don’t change your mind halfway through, I’d like for you to write it out. That way the word you’re thinking of is locked in. I don’t carry a pen and pad with me, but I have an idea. I’ll open up the notes app on my phone.

If performing for more than one person: Do any of you have a pen and paper? Actually, let’s just do this... I’ll use the notes app on my phone. Think of a word and type it out. When you’re done, show [him/her/them].

Not sure this is the best time for a release like this. I wouldn't want a spectator handling my phone and i doubt they would want to touch it either.
Your concern applies to pretty much ALL close-up magic. But I’m sure Ellusionist can’t afford to delay their releases until the pandemic is over. Buy now, play later. Plus if all Ellusionist sold over the next few months were tricks you can only do on Zoom, then I’d lose my mind.

Damn, this may eliminate the problem of impression devices not being always clear/precise, plus typing stuff on phones is just more natural these days. I definitely feel bad for the Android users :/, at the same time I relieved I own an Iphone :$, same phone dilemnas when it comes to these magic apps :/
