Thanks for the video demo. Couple of suggestions: 1) Before heating the Mylar packet, massaging it a bit starts the remixing of the taco meat and sauce. Then when the pouch is heated and opened, use a spoon or fork to finish the mixing. 2) There is no need to simmer once the water is at boil. Stick the packet in the hot water, cover with a cozy and wait the five minutes.
Lol i just picked up 2 of the spicy beef crumble too. I almost impulsively bought the whole lot but idk if i even like the stuff lol. I get excited when I see stuff like that. Mental? I know. I love MREs
My local Dollar Tree has them for $1.25/pouch. I bought 15 along with a few pouches of Mahatma Chipotle Rice. I'm going to mix the 2 together for dinner. I hope it's good. 😊
I have commented before that Walmart did not go ahead with opening several locations post-pandemic here in the Philippines. We have also noticed a reduction of imported items at our favorite local supermarket that stocked products no other markets had. We will be traveling to Subic and checking for products at several markets known to cater to retired EX-pats. We agree that this can not be everyday sustenance. We hope to find these beef mains to add to kits such as the "dorm survival" box we are creating for Beautiful Daughter, our soon-to-be college student. My thinking is some Knorr mashed potatoes that she likes with roast beef & gravy or this taco filling over rice would make an excellent emergency meal. There may even be enough for two petite Asian girls to share a meal. Strangely, Hereford canned corned beef is stocked at many markets in our area.
@NewHampshireJack Yes I have noted international items going missing here as well. Seems to me another symptom of the world economy shrinking and one step closer to world war. Stay safe brother.
I got away with a sandwich maker in college, kind that uses standard American bread and cuts it diagonal. Would make up pizza pockets for Sunday dinner.

Was thinking about buying these for convenience but wasn’t sure until I saw this video. 🙂

Just came from my local Dollar Tree and discovered they carry the "Beef Crumbles" of this brand.

@@texastigress I oddly enough did the exact same thing today. Going to try the combo tomorrow for lunch
I bought 2 at Winn Dixie and will buy more like the convenience, taste and I know it came from a clean kitchen and who handled my food 👍
Hope you enjoy it!
