⚠I have only recently learned, thanks to a few users here, that there is a newer, more comprehensive alternative for the boston fps fix, that also covers the entire game not only city areas. Otherwise Boston FPS Fix still is a great mod that is working fine but meanwhile is discontinued, which means bugs could occur with newer versions of the game or other mods!⚠
Even if you don't play with mods, you should at least get the Unoffical Patch mod, it just fix's soo much of the game and makes it soo much more stable.
That's fantastic man! Glad it worked that well for you! I hope you saw my addition to use PRP instead of "Boston FPS Fix" and if you want to boost your FPS even further, you can also use "Shadow Boost FO4".

i reduced my load times to HALF by installing Fallout 4 on an NVME SSD. Mod organizer 2 downloads folder was in my SATA drive. the game and the MODS folder on the SSD. With high fps fix's uncapped loading screen FPS, it loads my game in 10 seconds or less.
I am interested in lowering power usage on my steam deck, while i play Fallout 4. On average, it consumes about 10-15W from battery, and, well, after i installed Vivid Fallout textures and PRP. Did everything you said except I didn't use godrays because I don't play with those and substituted the Boston fix for the Previsibines Repair Pack. Worked REALLY well. It sounds very stupid, but if you've already used a lot of the mods in the video and are a heavy user who uses your own mod packs, upgrading to the 4080ti may be the answer. Seriously, it worked absurdly for me. How- A game that is already over 10 years old has to have today's graphics engine to be stable. Wow, what a timeless piece.
I'm running a 4070 TI and I routinely get 40 FPS in Boston. Came to this video to see if there's a way to improve the FPS. So I'm not sure a phat graphics card is exactly the answer.
1:25 I have a very good reason not to install it: it requires all the DLCs (for the Xbox One version at least). It's not really a reason, more like an obstacle... but if anyone knows if there's a non-DLC version please let me know because I need it.
@@thatMPSG For you, it might just be a few bucks, but for me, the full version of the game costs around 15.14% of the minimum wage. @@thatMPSG also, i face a weird animation sync bug that when i use a water pump or enter power armor, animations not sync and it looks very weird.
Try using lower resolution textures. You're running out of vram if your gpu usage is less than hundred percent and you're getting lower than 60fps
@@cassieandstuff689 My Afterburner didn't show that i'm out of VRAM. I have 4GB but the Afterburner shows that i only use ~3GB
dude make a video list of it what to download

Are you playing on easy? In survival mode (aka the only way to play) you would have been dead in almost every firefight I see you get into.
This is on hard without any damage overhaul mod.
So I'm not sure a phat graphics card is exactly the answer.
yeah these are some of the best mid fixes to use
Indeed! No reason not to use them.
Anyone have any reccomended performance mods for steam deck?
1:25 I have a very good reason not to install it: it requires all the DLCs (for the Xbox One version at least).
It's not really a reason, more like an obstacle... but if anyone knows if there's a non-DLC version please let me know because I need it.
There's no non-DLC version. Just get yourself the full game for a few bucks and enjoy the extra content... and less struggle with modding!
@@thatMPSG For you, it might just be a few bucks, but for me, the full version of the game costs around 15.14% of the minimum wage. It's tough because my country is currently facing economic struggles, and most people here don't have much money to spare. Besides, I can never seem to find any promotions for this game when I have free time...
It's hard to understand why so many people hate on Brazil, especially considering how "wonderful" it is
@@elsternix Sorry to hear that.
But getting the full game still is the best option. You can get a steam key for the GOTY edition or the season pass for ~10$ if it fits your budget.
All the stuff that they added to fallout 4 is obviously not made for the cheap engine they used for fallout 4.
what weapon mod at 1:40?
"The Charger Pistol - a Gauss based weapon platform" by gmoi6
The NVIDIA reflex mod just totally changed how my game ran.
Glad it worked this great for you. This mod definitely is my insider tip!
@@thatMPSG Does the scrap heap mod noticeably improve performance
@@jimmygore8214 It improves game engine stability
Does this work on ps4?
pc only
Boston FPS fix is outdated. PRP is much better and more comprehensive
Thanks for the hint! I didn't know that.
These aren't even the names for the mods lmao click bait
Bethesda is disgusting, if it wasnt for the modding comminuty i dont think they would make any sales
I don't even have a high end PC by todays standards but I don't need that Boston FPS mod in vanilla Fallout 4. I get like 100+ FPS everywhere. I have two 2080 Super and yes, there's official support for SLI in this game so both cards actually work... and it does make a difference. I bet with something newer you probably get over 150 FPS instead. Though with performance heavy mods it's a different story :-P
love your voice man
Thanks mandy!
