So great to see your journey continue, and I learned a lot. Your enthusiasm and explanations make it great to follow along, especially for a newer sailor/inshore club sail race crewbie.
Thank you so much, comments like this really motivate me to keep going! I’m glad you learnt a few things too, my aim is to make sailing videos which are hopefully enjoyable to watch but also accessible for those who know next to nothing about sailing (like me when I first started!) and hopefully make it a bit easier to learn the lingo and how stuff works. Every time I make a video I learn something about sailing too, because I ask “oh, why did we do that?” to people far more experienced than I am! I hope you enjoy future videos, plenty more to come!
See you there! For the porridge, per portion, we go with: 60g oats, 10g sugar, 10g milk powder for the dry mix. We never measure how much hot water we put in whilst offshore, so may take a little trial and error! We also take a small golden syrup with us for an extra sugar kick if needed. I’ve just got back from popping our provisions for Myth onboard Killing Time ready for the delivery to Cowes! I must have looked quite the sight - had my scales out and was weighing up the milk powder, sugar and oats on the dockside! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
Well done!
Thank you!
