This was a great preaching as i got the confirmation of what I thought regarding certain passages of the scriptures. For instance, I've always thought the eye of the needle meant the difficulty of entering until I came across the camel gate explanation, which didn't sit well with me.

Following God (Jesus) is a work. 50:36 Selling everything, giving it to the poor and following God is a work. It is what we should do after we are saved. Salvation first then discipleship. Even if you can give all to the poor and following Jesus, it won't save you. Jesus was revealing that He was God and to be saved a person needs a Savior.
