I like this for the grounds, the short commute from London, the schools, and the recreational facilities in the area, even though the interior is quite cramped and disproportionate, but all of that can be redone.
This has very nice lawns and old trees, and is only a short distance from London, so I presume one could live here and commute to London each day?
This is very tempting because of its proximity to London, sprawling lawns, equestrian facilities, a pool, and access to golf, tennis, spas and schools, even though it doesn't have views over or access to the ocean, a river, a lake, or a hill.
    It also is excellent value.
This would be the perfect property if I could commute to London everyday.
Well, I love the city, but, then, earlier on, we could afford homes like these even in the cities, with sprawling lawns for pensive walks and for children to swirl through, riot around, immerse in sports, and even in indulge in their own adventures and explorations.
I'd contemplate the following three options:
1- A home on the outskirts of London, but preferably with views of and access to a river, the ocean, a lake or the mountains, where one could live and from where one commute with ease. It would be nice to have a pool, a tennis court, and equestrian facilities.
2- A penthouse in London and a separate country home with access to the ocean, the mountains, or even a lake or river, that is even a little further out of London, but where one could commute over the weekends, so one could go sailing, boating, rowing, and trekking etc. I wonder if Wales, the European coast or the Scottish coast would be more attractive. I suppose Wales and Cornwall have a nice blend of hills and the oceans.
3- A house in central London with a pool, grounds for the children to play and for me to bask in the sun, host outdoor parties, and, perhaps, even play tennis or another sport.
With regards to the interior, it all depends on what the weather is like. You can't do without carpeting in cooler climes, but in warmer climes and for country homes, I'd like to use a blend of wooden, marble, limestone and ceramic floors and avoid wall-to-wall carpeting.
For the walls, I'd never use all wooden walls(they're stifling), but I could use walls that are half-wood and half paint or rock or stone, and others that are all paint, rock or stone.
Monotony eventually gets to me, so I would want every room or, at least, every section of the house to have a slightly different palate, but not too different for it to come across as discordant and garish. It neither has to be overdone, for it, to come come across as discordant nor underdone, with minimalism, for it , to be bland.
If I could divide the house into different enclosures, then, I'd use wooden floors for the enclosure that opens up into venues to the outdoors, and retain a somewhat rustic palate for it.
I could use a few coarse cotton, not woolen, rugs in this enclosure, but, I suppose, no fine rugs and absolutely no carpeting. I'd also be open to using leather, rock, stone, and metal.
I'd also equip this with both indoor and outdoor bars and dining facilities, mostly for mornings and afternoons, but even for occasional evenings.
I'd use limestone, marble or granite for the section for formal living and dining. I'd use this mostly for the evenings, but also for cold mornings and afternoons. I would also use rugs and, if the evenings are too cold, then even wall-to-wall carpeting.
I'd, finally, build a transition enclosure for the evenings for transitioning from country-living to fine-living or from the mornings to the evenings.
For the outdoor landscape, I'd typical want a vast plain-expanse stretching into the ocean, a lake, or a river in front of the home and rolling hills, meadows, and mountains at the back.
I'd want to have proper lawns and gardens next to the home, but retain a little bit of wilderness in the distant parts.

We will be putting our farm, house and spa for sale again as our cash buyer doesn’t have cash to pay for it.
Anyways, our farm, spa facilities etc is only around 30mins from ULLSWATER, Lake District
