Isn't how they normally do it? I would think the parade-style marching is only ceremonial, out in the wild they would want a lot of spacing so they can't all be killed at once?
@@josephastier7421 Yeah, that is right...but green troops will instinctively follow their boot camp training and try and close up together. Closed up is how they move in basic training. Veterans go the other way and will instinctively spread out.

Thank you for no watermark.
The most quiet war I've seen in my life...
Look at that troop spacing on the march. You can tell these guys have been through the mill.

@@seanmurphy7011 Or that. :)
Note those Pz tracks on the back of the Chaffee 2 links on each side.
Notice the bullet holes in the jeep windshield
I just seen my Dodge 4x4 crossing the river…
What kind of tanks are these? Seems not to be the usual Sherman tanks, or am I missing something? The turret looks quite flat like a modern tank.
M26 Pershing
Hellcats?
M24 Chaffee
@@johannesbraun1487
Hellcat or Chaffee I think. Need Some more research.

That boat thing stops, dunno if we can make it thru. Too shallow.
That “boat thing” is a DUKW pronounced Duck. It was a 1/2 ton amphibious truck.
It stoped because the film crew ran out of tape. You can see a short flash on the film when they changed the tape.
Sophie Scholl´s Birthplace...
Thanks for reminding me 💕❤
Really good picture quality!
But really boring and no sound !
The relaxed and clean look of these American soldiers tells the history perfectly. It speaks about staggering US productivity in the 40s.
The M24 Chaffee seen in this video was a light tank replacement for the M3 and M5 Stuart tanks.

2:30 is this a Pershing?
M24 Chaffee. US late war light tank.
@@jamesphilip6737 Thanks! These guys all look so chill.
Aspect ratio of video is 'way off. Much too wide. Troops look like Hobbits. AFV appear too squat, which makes them look like M-1's.

The US/British vehicles look like toys compared to the german or russian ones.
