Timothée Chalamet switching from French to English sounds like a lot of conversations here in Montréal, Canada. It's Frenglish all around, we switch between both languages like they're simply one language sometimes. I'll never get tired of it, it's so unique. Like a union between two worlds.

It's ironic that Cameron from "10 Things" is infamously awful at French, when Joseph Gordon Levitt is fluent, even studying French poetry at university.

Jane Fonda speaks even better French than Timothée Chalamet. Audrey Hepburn speaks like Chalamet, maybe better (Chalamet just nails the accent). Jodie Foster and Diane Krüger are the best on this list! The others are complete jokes, but an e for effort
In Canada, it is a requirement to have french classes in school. In the USA, i think its Spanish
Two years of any language was required at my US high school and then if you wanted to continue thereafter it was an elective. And yes, I took Spanish but I stopped after two because I was just that bad at it. I wish there were subtitles so I could figure out what everyone was saying.
I only took French until grade 8. (Also Canadian)

Robert Downey Jr. also knows at least quite a bit of French. He needed to learn it for some of his lines in the first two Sherlock Holmes movies.
He just learnt a few sentences in French. I saw his French scenes and his accent was awful. He almost sounded like a German.

Audrey Hepburn was not American, she was actually born in Brussels, Belgium. Her mother was Dutch and her father was British, so she grew up Belgium (where she learned French), then she studied in the UK and then moved to the Netherlands. Besides her native Dutch and English, she spoke French, German, Italian and Spanish 😉
