I just picked this up on sale at the recent Amazon prime day. If you're patient, they offer significant discounts 2 or 3 times per year. Probably black friday will be the next good chance. I got $150 off. Still expensive, but it's quality kit.
Jeff, I went to Kia to check about my driver seat, not moving forward backwards and they said it was covered under warranty and I am at 47,000 miles so that’s good to know. Also the owner of the Campbell Kia in Missoula Montana mentioned that they change their mind and that we are going to all get free adapters according to him even if you have a 2022 to 2024 above so that is a change you should look into, thanks
Great review! Any comments on which adapter or adapters are recommended? I have an upcoming trip to East Texas where charging options are sparse. I have heard dryer plugs and possibly the outlets at RV parks would work with this type of portable charger. What type of connector do they typically require?
Thanks for the information. Two questions. 1. How do you get the data on your car’s monitor? 2. Are you aware of Kia refusing to honor a warrantee due to the use of an adapter like this? I seem to recall in a recent press release about the upcoming NACS change with Tesla that they wouldn’t honor the cars warranty if any adapter other than the Kia version was used. Thanks
I have a bluetooth obd2 adapter (like this - amzn.to/4ho7TLv) connected to my Tbox Plus (reviewed here - ua-cam.com/video/yUSJ6GuvTnA/v-deo.html). Regarding the warranty and adapters, that's not related to this. That's specific to Tesla supercharger usage using a non-oem NACS to CCS adapter. That doesn't apply here.
I believe that the Tesla mobile charger with multiple adapters is much cheaper overall and has been rocksolid. You will need a you will need a Tesla too J 1770 adapter but it’s been working for me on road trips however the 450 plug is dated down to the 40 a.m. level charge so it’s a little slower but with all the different plugs there has been nowhere I could not charge.

Yeah they do have a few really good deals. I'm sure I'll share some as black friday gets closer.

Oh that's good to hear!
I have the 25' version, and it has been quite useful. Best part is the ease of changing the charge rate.
Nice! Yeah it is so easy.

I see a lot of 14-50 outlets. For dryers, 14-30 and 10-30 are popular. I'd definitely get a 5-15 just to be safe too.
Thanks for the information.

Yeah that one is good. I have one I keep in the frunk. It's definitely not as rugged though to be honest.
Looks like a giant thermometer 😅however the flexibility and the build quality are attractive
Yeah I'm a big fan of this design
