Great tutorial! The music is very reminiscent of The Dears, particularly the harmonies. Excellent!
Thank you very much! I have never heard of The Dears; I will have to check them out.
I normally write my vocal lines with an instrument and inport it as midi to the SynthV plugin. Even better, I'll sing my vocals, and use melodyne to create the midi. Then import to SV. That can help making the timing more natural. Nice song there, I like the female playful rap break.
Thanks, Have you tried the SynthV Audio to Midi?
Hi. I used to work with melodyne too, I recently tried the new audio to midi trick. I find it very hepful for a more natural timing, but I must confess my pitch is not as good as I thought :) so there is a lot to correct anyway, so I guess Melodyne combine with Audio to midi will be the winner
@gregkocis and @LucyRaquelandme I haven't tried the Audio to Midi yet. But I will do that ASAP, thanks!
Hey Greg - Why do you go from the DAW plugin to the standalone? Why not just do everything in the plugin?
btw - I write all my vocal melodies, and finalize lyrics inside Synthesizer-V. Totally changed what I do with my spare time. I'd done vocal songs before, working with well trained singers, but it always seemed like such a slog. Synth-V is so easy to work with.
I find the plugin works best for writing, but it acts strange and buggy when I bounce down a track in Logic, it will un-mute all the tracks in Sythn V and bounce them down as well.
