Hi. I am her teacher in the interview and her father (Mr. Jason Seaton) is a soldier and VERY involved with her, In fact, he was the one who brought her to the interview that day. Both parents are very much involved with her and her development.

So at risk of sounding like the biggest hater who is trying to throw cold water on this girl's achievement I have to say that CSEC subjects are not what this little girl needs to be doing at 9 years old. Her outstanding skills will be better honed if they are mastered in a manner that is in keeping with her emotional and social development. Instead of simply passing subjects at age 9, she needs a well rounded curriculum that will challenge her in a more holistic manner in order to bring out her "genius" in more functional and stimulating ways. This will prepare her for a brilliant career as a leader in her chosen field 15 years from now. She needs to be actively applying her skills to vibrant "4H club," "girl guides" and other service and student leadership engagements which will meaningfully challenge and allow her to fully enjoy her childhood while developing outstanding academic, social and leadership skills. Even though small kids can be successful at them, 9 year old's were not meant to be writing CSEC exams!!! Let us not forget that "subjects" alone is not everything. Whole heap of people have 10 CSEC and still can't find a job in Jamaica right now. Just my two-cents and again, I am not trying to be a hater, I'm actually impressed with the little girl and only wish that an appropriate program was designed for her.

Stimulate the kid in other ways and let her live out her childhood and take the exams when the time is right, she'll be even more rounded and awesome when she passes them as a young adult!!

Your IQ determines whether or not you are gifted with intellectual abilities. And she would have to get classes to do the CSEC exams. No one is crushing her dreams, but it is unnecessary for a 6th grader to concern themselves with that.

HSB was my favorite subject in high school as well......its the only subject that had my whole attention
