What is your opinion about Artificial Intelligence? What is the future of illustration art in the era of AI, where we can see AI can create any type art in a matter of seconds?

The rise of artificial intelligence in image generation poses challenges for illustrators, but also offers opportunities. While AI can create images quickly, human creativity and storytelling remain distinct. Adapting to new technologies and exploring collaborations between humans and AI can be a promising approach. For those who draw out of passion, AI can be a fascinating tool to enhance creativity, serving as inspiration alongside traditional artistic processes. The key is to balance technology with personal expression, leveraging AI's advantages without losing authenticity and the love for art.

if you're seeing it from the bright side, AI gonna be a great tool for illustrator you don't need to scroll Pinterest or Google image to look for reference, the downside is it's gonna trim a lot of low requirements illustrations and illustrator's skill standard required gonna be higher than before

@@jiburpak539 I think AI doesn't diminish the skill or joy in the act of drawing. The essence of drawing lies in the progress, creativity, and enjoyment of the creation process. While AI may alter certain aspects of the industry, the intrinsic satisfaction and personal growth derived from drawing remain untouched, emphasizing the enduring importance of the artist's unique touch and creative journey.
AI might reshape the industry, requiring artists to adapt and find ways to collaborate with technology.
From industry perspective, I see brands and companies preferring to hire illustrators instead of using AI art. That might be only for a while, the AI is evolving so quickly that we can’t expect what comes tomorrow, but in general, I will keep drawing for loving the process, and if there will be any impact on how to earn by drawing, I will have to adapt myself to live.

@@jiburpak539 AI certainly won't replace the need for reference or experience. People get caught up with 'perfection' and 'quality' and 'realism' in art, but the most important skill for a visual artist to develop is Observation. And I don't mean observational drawing, but observing reality and nature from perspective of interest. AI is nothing compared to the capacity of human creativity. AI lacks our ability to interpret what we experience against emotion, it lacks the ability to distinguish between the significant and insignificant, it lacks the ability to confront and work against its biases. Nevermind that any "reference" generated by AI is 100% fake. It will always be a cobbled together mash of existing data, and horribly inauthentic. Anyone who is pinning their hopes of achieving "art" through AI/Generative tools needs to get a grip on reality and understand the joy that is found in embracing the challenge of drawing, or any creative medium.
The advent of accessible photography did not bring about the end of painting, but instead sparked the development of Impressionism and other post-modern artistic movements. So too will artists leave AI behind to do its own thing, we never needed it and we WILL NEVER need it.
