Mr Chee, the press release by MPA on 14 of June states that the oil spill has been contained but in fact it was not and spread to the southern island. As a leader of the country I hope you can call out the mistake and not cover it up.
The question du jour is whether the beach waters 🌊 off the East Coast Park, Changi, Sentosa, Keppel Bay and Labrador Nature reserve are safe for leisure swimming, snorkeling, diving and other water-based activities such as kayaking, yachting, surfing, water-skiing, etc without hinder of thought by members of the public that there are toxic chemicals and agents formed as a filthy mixture with the sea waters, resulting in skin allergies or even worse, cancer-causing elements. Therefore, I will strongly recommend a lull period of at least 6 months or more, pumping out affected seawater for careful filtration at PUB decontamination plants before pumping them back into the affected coastal areas. Very costly for the government, but it's for our assurance. Sigh...
@@LonganLee You have a point. There are so many container ships and bunkering vessels anchored within the straits of the Pasir Panjang terminal. High chance such collisions are bound to happen again, even though there's no apparent port congestion.
@@noelkwek After the decades since independence, has SG figured it out how to be Pre-Emptive/preventive about it if not have a better faster containment solution in place? But wait! The world has not invented such a solution and we have to wait for help
@@LonganLee You're right! So, the possibility of marine fuel oil spills and even crude oil spills from shipping vessels are always abound. Just look at Singapore ocean horizons day and night and you'll always notice we never have clear water horizons to watch natural sunrises and sunsets from the seashores, unlike overseas such as Californian, Australian, NZ and even some southern Eastern European coasts in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. Thus, the port of Singapore under PSA will increase maritime anchoring fees after this accident. Anyway, unless you're in the business of working in the bunkering trade, you and I do not need to worry. So, chill and relax.
Need to find out the root cause and see if any malicious intention behind. As Big players “intelligence” are hungry for “headline news” to coverup their daily destructions/ wrong doing in selected part of the world .. 😢
Limit is SGD8 millions by the marine insurer. Thereafter, one can go after the ship owner and also the international shipping agency insurance coverage. The process would take a long time.
*Whatsoever the end result please do your best* but remember not to overreact in banning plastic drinking straws the next time when someone post videos of turtles having pieces of straws stuck in its nostrils.

If they lower price of HDB flat, then probably good to increase their salary. Otherwise, just VTO and Singaporeans will get new policy makers that prioritise Singaporeans.

Sense a more defensive stance than it’s really required here, guys….😅

And within 6mths what if another spill? What guarantees this won't ever happen again? Coastal Defence?

The oil spill damages will be covered by shipping company insurance. What's the big fuss? Just do the job and charge the insurer accordingly.
