@@ninaridley6838 💖Ken doll was created as an accessory toy-doll to Barbie. The movie shows Ken as an accessory. This is irritating to people. Yet in the Biblical version of the “creation of humanity” Eve was created after Lilith. Eve was an accessory after - thought just as Ken is in the movie and in the actual sequence of events in the production of the first Barbie by Mattel. Women’s “role” as accessories, as “eye-candy”, as objects is shown in reverse by having Ken be the accessory. Think about it. 💖Women still earn 75-80% percent less wages/salary than men. Women’s rights to their own gynecological care have been taken away by the so-called Supreme Court. Death during childbirth in the USA is very high compared to other European countries. We have no universal child care places for the children of working wimen. Etc etc etc Misogyni (hatred/disgust of women) is alive and flourishing in our current dominator-patriarchal system.After watching the movie - I have a bit more hope for the future of our daughters and grand-daughters in the coming years/decades. I imagine the future movies about Barbie will show how Barbie & Ken live as equal partners.🩷💖🩷💙🌏💙🌎💙🌍💙peace💙love💙🙋‍♀️
