I can finally see the Christie doll out of the box! While she's nice, I wish that they would have brought back the older model with the same outfit. It'sthe perfect opportunity to introduce a younger generation to the older dolls. The first Barbie Looks doll would look great dressed up as vampirella or Morticia for Halloween. And yes, I too wish that the Barbie the Movie doll outfits were fashion packs.

I had the exact thought yesterday about why we can't just get fashion packs! It would cut down on so much waste too. You could buy the "starter pack" with the doll in outfit, but when they release another Margot look from the Movie, SELL THE DARN OUTFIT AND ACCESSORIES SEPARATE! I think they would have a lot of success. Not to mention it's frustrating as a parent to tell your kiddo no just because the outfit is the only difference.

Thank you for sharing the Celia Cruz Barbie. I was excited when she arrived, but, I was confused about her hair. It looked as if it the bang was cut unevenly and the side wisps weren't curled. But I see the doll you featured, has a similar hair appearance. I know Celia had her own sense of style, so it makes sense.

I've loved Christie since I was a little kid. Yes, we share the same name but, she has been special because she was the first doll to make my Barbie world more like the real world and not so vanilla. I also love Kira. When I was able to add these dolls, my Barbie world really represented the diversity in my life... well, at least the women. Lol! I still only have my, one, original Malibu Ken. 😂💜✌️🐸
They are too tall for some of my rooms and too long for some of my doll clothes 😅 I have the same problem with many of my IT dolls and often have to make them kneel down… I even swapped a few to MTM bodies if there is a decent match… putting them on classic bodies just makes it easier for me when I am moving fast 😅 because I am always behind schedule

Oh wow the tall Barbie Looks doll is so pretty! I love her lavender eyes. I might need to add her to my collection because I am (still) looking for a perfect match for my mini me doll, but I would want to change her body type to curvy, and I would want to reroot her hair and give her a more neutral lipstick, which would be a lot of work, but could be a fun project. I agree that it is annoying to have to buy the same dolls over and over again just to collect the clothing. I feel like Barbie having just slightly different hair isn't enough to validate making them that way. It seems like it was more about getting the most money from the movie dolls, I've seen it in the past with other products. Ken especially doesn't make sense because it's the exact same hair and everything. I know that the Barbie outfit is made to look like the rollerblading doll from the 90's. Makes me with they had done something more with the rollerblades themselves like the original had fun transparent areas.

I have a favorite Barbie as of yet I can not find her right skin tone [she was one I found years ago at Dollar General for about four bucks with a beautiful afro. I do love having her for making clothes, but I would definitely love to find a MTM body for her]. Still waiting. Hopefully, we will see more skin tones in the future.
