I saved the theatrical bonus discs and got rid of the special editions...

10:09 Kind of unrelated but in around 2011-2012ish or maybe later they stopped putting the holographic stickers on DVDs and Blu Rays for whatever reason (it's not just Fox, Warner, Paramount, Disney, Universal etc stopped doing it). In fact it is quite comical to find a later pressing of an older title and it says something like "This hologram signifies an authentic product" and there's a space for it but there's nothing there. So unless places like HMV have got counterfeit stock and I've been really unlucky, I think it's cheaper to stop sticking them on DVDs.
The Star Wars set I have (the 2008 trilogy in the blue box) which I got from MusicMagpie near the beginning of lockdown (the first time I saw it for a reasonable price) the holographic sticker was intact.

I bought this in the UK when it came out and as far as I know it was only available on Amazon.co.uk

I saw this version in Virgin Megastores back in the day when it was a retail store before it became Zavvi and online only.
    It’s known as a J-Card (that’s what I would say it is).

Wait . . . I've never researched the company itself. Zavvi was Virgin Megastore?

Nathan Butler Yes, virgin mega store became Zavvi and it was a brief store for awhile (bearing in mind I’m doing this from memory) and then it got relegated to online only.

You know, Canadian versions of releases also often have those cardboard "cups" you like. Sometimes the cardboard wraparound serves as a vehicle to present all of the French language title/text over an otherwise American product with its English-only packaging underneath.

That Uk tin does look a lot sturdier , I have the U.S. set that came with the comic adaptations and I took those inserts and slipped them under the plastic on the front of each dvd case and made them my default covers.Wish I had purchased that tin though , it looks awesome.

I got this UK set off Play.com, it's still sealed as I have the DVD's individually. The tin set is pretty pricey these days! As far as availability? Well certainly play.com had it, not sure if other retailers had it? Great review by the way 😃

Nice, thanks. You got it from there back in '06? (I'm not familiar with the site, so I wanted to make sure I'm clear.)

Nathan Butler yes around 2006! Play.com was based in the channel islands and is now known as Ratukan or Rautakan!
