You make this super easy to do. I love the 12,9,6 and 3 for labeling the strands.

I love watching you make mistakes and then correcting them. Makes me feel better about my understanding the whole deal.

Awesome!! Thank You, Shaun. I use a cooling rack for cookies to let my paracord ends cool without touching (usually) my counter or table. Instead of paper, which is flammable and sticky, you could use a silicone no-stick baking mat, or a sheet of that No-Stick aluminum foil.
Before it was needed again when Back-To-School came along, I was using a higher metal locker shelf we had bought years ago from Target. It raises the paracord above the surface and has a wide open grid at the top. I'll probably snag that back one day when lockers are no longer necessary.

Your videos are very good...you make the projects like we would do it...and I appreciate you including your "mistakes" as that is what we would typically do and what we need to do to correct the "mistake"...keep them coming....any new projects coming up with a central set of 4 cords with slip knots on the both sides for a real quick release bracelet or long key chain?

once you have the connectors on you can also melt a smaller amount of the ends and press them directly into the smoothing tool. that simultaneously spreads the nylon and cools it. it's easier and less messy that way I think.

I remember using the plastic lacing to make key chains as a kid, too. It was so frustrating to try securing it once it was done.

I would use a figure-8 know for the barrel connector. If you cut it short enough and melt it, it should fit and not pull out.

Towards the end of the video - 18:15 mark give or take - he mentions six feet of cord. I had to look up on the transcript to verify. :-)

He said 6 feet of each color, but you can use about 5 feet for the accenting color.

Nice work but I find it interesting that your demonstration uses hardware you don't offer. Anyone needing the barrel connector shown here can purchase it from Paracord Planet. Bored Paracord does not seem to sell it.

You *really* need to start out your vids-and you never do-with a close-up shot of the entire finished product so we can have a look at it as a reference when we're making it. Shoot that last when you finish the project and then edit it to the beginning of the video. Also, why not list the suplies and hardware needed and then link to them on your site? Just a few suggestions. Thanks for your vids. Also, if you start carrying a selection of plastic lanyard and leash clips made entirely from plastic, I'll buy them from you. You don't currently carry any. I ask for the plastic ones since the usual metal hardware is only going to scratch and wear off the finish of things like small flashlights and metal whistles that I need to carry on a lanyard. Emailed you about this buyt haven't heard back and didn't see them on your site.

      Shawn,
I would have taken the clip and ran the TWO diamond cords through the eye rather than just the one blue cord. It appears, looking from the end, that those two cords lie flat and parallel to one another. I believe this would make the clip hang better and would double the strength of the connection.
Otherwise, this is a pretty nice and easy weave that most should be able to complete with little problem at all. Thanks for the vids...keep up the great work!
