Life, health, and happiness always should come first! I think most reasonable people completely understand. I don't think it's realistic to expect this level of output when it's not your full time job. Take your time, and you do you!
A good rule of thumb is, "Family first, UA-cam family... like, seventh." Haha. I subscribe to quite a few channels that only post monthly or even quarterly. I even have a few that have only posted a couple of videos since the start of the pandemic. Life is complicated and people should understand that. That being said, I don't see why that bird can't vacuum and cook to lighten the work load. ;-)
Just got to your channel through sleep token reactions and i'm sad you need to stop but health comes first ! Loved the reactions and can't wait to see some of your material when you have time to post it here ^^.

Hey Jami, I’m quite late to this but just wanted to give you a shout out of support. I really enjoyed your Blackpink reactions and actually how I found this vid. I was looking to see if you had posted any more. I’m sad to hear you had to stop but would have sadder yet to hear of the disintegration of your mental health. You have to do what’s good for you and your family and those choices are the farthest thing from selfish. I commend you for recognizing the toll it was taking and acting on it as opposed to trying to force it. Good luck in your musical career. I look forward to seeing you open for the Pinks on their next world tour! Take care, God bless.

I get where you're coming from to a degree. I have a demanding job as well, working upwards of seventy hours a week, all the while trying to keep my own music project alive and well. I couldn't imagine throwing on top of that a UA-cam reaction type of video battling all the copyright stuff. What needs to be first and foremost is that you're taking care of the things that are most present in your life. 1. Your family 2. Your full time job and 3. Your passion of making and performing music. UA-cam on its own is a very slippery slope of a place to try to make a living. And 9 times out of 10 its luck that a channel will explode to where it can be full time income. But its very rare and not something thats feasible especially in this day and age where everything so expensive to just try to live a normal life to try to force it in with things that should absolutely take precedence over it.
All in all, whats important is that you, your mind and your heart, your family, and your job are taken care of and accounted for. Thats whats most important, then your passion of music which I relate BIG TIME with that one.
You do whatever you have to do to make sure you're happy, healthy and content. Don't worry about being the people pleaser, that'll run you into the ground. Please and take care of yourself, your loved ones and your passion of music to ensure you're happy and healthy and able to actually LIVE and not just survive. Thats all that matters. I've really enjoyed your reactions to, Nightwish, Epica, Jinjer, Spirit Box, and Sleep Token. I'm sad you're not going to be able to continue with this channel but I understand and respect the decision you've come to. For your own enjoyment I'd like to recommend some other great bands.
Lacuna Coil (goth metal)
Opeth (progressive metal)
The Hu (Mongolian folk metal)
Wardruna (basically viking music; haunting and beautiful at the same time; many of the instruments used are made only with materials and techniques that would have been available hundreds of years ago)
Stevie Ray Vaughn (blues - among the greatest guitar players of all time)
Auri (a side project/band with Tuomas and Troy from Nightwish)
Marko (Marco) Hietala (former bass player of Nightwish) (Tarot - his other band)(many side projects he's involved with)
Floor and Tarja both of whom you've seen with Nightwish have solo careers, other bands, and side projects that are all worth checking out.
Its not giving up if you stop doing something to make space for more important activities to yourself. One colleague said that the first thing, if you really want to achieve something bigger, is to give up something less important. Reaction videos are quite passive and non-creative compared to making your own music and taking care of yourself. Have fun & enjoy!

If UA-cam videos are a hobby and not a full-time job, then don't stress about it. Do what you want, you have no obligation to randoms who sub to a channel. I also wouldn't worry about lost subs or whatever.

I would suggest that you do reactions where more people get to know you and like what you’re doing like when you get 100 or 200,000 followers. The reaction videos are what gets you well known just saying good luck to you.

I don't think you did give up honestly, but even if you did, there's an undeserved stigma to that. I gave up smoking, people compliment you and wish you success, you "give up" (imo you just reprioritized based on the demands put on you, your desires and the available time and/or money, like most of us must) something for the sake of things of more importance. Totally fair. I enjoyed a few of your videos, but I'd rather not have those videos if your wellbeing is the cost to get those videos created.

By the way, you should do Nightwish live videos you’ll find that there is a large, and I mean large following with Nightwish. The lead singer of Nightwish is incredible. That would put you in the Nightwish army, and that would be the best thing to increase your fan base. Anything live on Nightwish is a winner.
