    I think Cindy should do more reviews! She is so brutally honest, also with the ID.3. She is just saying the way things are.
    She understand that every car has a use case, things you use often should have buttons, a car should be practical and don't bother you in anyway.

    Oh, I do sympathise about buttons and being able to just get in and drive without thinking. Many thanks to Cindy for completing a well-rounded picture. My wife would probably enjoy this car too.

    We live in the country and my wife has an I-Miev. Visiting the town is a 40km round trip. In the 2 years she has had the car she has never had to borrow mine to do a journey. Small EVs are fantastic. I hope there will be more available soon. Cindy is brilliant 😎

    Cindy is very clear with likes and dislikes. Great review. Thanks Chris and family.

    Valuable addition to your reviews, it is amazing how men and women see and value things very differently based on their needs

    And this is why the guys on Reddit, Facebook, UA-cam or wherever who say any car is crap because it’s too slow, has poor range or isn’t high tech enough are wrong. There will always be a niche use case for any car no matter what.

    I think the manufacturers just put the gouvernment grants on top of the price they actually would charge the customer. 27 000€ is a lot of money for such a small car!

    • @richard--s
      @richard--s 3 роки тому

      That's also my opinion. The manufacturers could not afford to reduce the price by 4000 euros or whatever that is (+5000 from the government for example), so they raise the price by at least that 4000 euros. Maybe they think, well, with incentives the car would cost 13000 euros, no, don't sell it for 22000, sell it for 27000, because 18000 is just the price point that this car should be worth ;-)

    As I wrote in my commentary to your other video, Chris: I bet, Cindy would love the car ...
    I knew it in advance - and won the bet ;-)
    Cindy, you are absolutely right; for people who drive small distances and want to have an "easy to use" car the TWINGO is good, esspecially when you can't get the VW-Drillinge.
    Frankly speaking.

    My wife and I have a similar height difference to yourselves and have found our Twingo GT the most comfortable car we have ever driven, even for fairly long journeys up to 150 miles with plenty of power, a high top gear and good fuel consumption at 44 mpg. I had great hopes for the Twingo EV as its replacement but this is obviously only suitable as a city car and Renault don't sell it in the UK!

    Perfect "having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be."

    As your Wife said, its perfect for cities, even to go a longer distance to your work and back, charging it at work with 220V and at home. You don´t need a wallbox. Go shopping and charging it for free on AC.

    i wouldn't mind owning one really. my current car hasn't seen a trip longer than 250km after 10 years. sure, i plan some trips that the little buddy would just bearly be able to make(580km to a festival) but that is once a year and if it doesn't go as planned, i can always borrow a car from someone in the family. meanwhile, the sea side and the local lake are totally within reach of this little buddy.

    Mine cost 12000 euros in Croatia , and that is the same as a petrol variant. With govrement discount. I will use it in city only and do Wolt deliverys with it :). I recon that Ill get a free car in 7 years just on fuel alone ! Isnt that awsome :)

    She loves the car like I love the Honda-e: for the looks. You'll get to hate it when you're actually using it facing its limitations.

    The price as it is in Germany is a ripoff. NextMove have done videos about it: The car is supposed to get a 3000€ manufacturer rebate to qualify for the subsidy, but Renault just raised the MSRP in Germany by 3000€ compared to the rest of Europe. Sure, I get that the margins are super tight on cheap cars like this, but still, it's amazing that they're getting away with such obvious misuse of the system.

    • @BatteryLife
      @BatteryLife  3 роки тому +1

      I thought that was the Dacia Spring, not the Twingo.

    • @krugerdave
      @krugerdave 3 роки тому +2

      @@BatteryLife absolutely right 😅 I realized that too when I went to go add a link to my comment 🤦‍♂️ But then I checked the prices and it looks like the Twingo is 2200€ more in Germany. So not quite as bad, but still not great.

    As I’ve mentioned before, given the range of the Twingo I’d rather go for a used i-MiEV, a Z-Cero or an i-On. I do see why the Twingo would appeal to Cindy, but I think it’s totally overpriced.

      Because to her the technical details are not interesting. Over time she sat in a lot of different EVs and this is one she likes.
      She forgot about the eUp last year, how that was.

    city jumper for sure
    on the other side far too expensive in the second you have a look on the competition like the e-Up with 50% more range and 33% faster / higher charge rate

      E-up, Skoda Citygo , Seat mi, do not exist for about two years now.... You cannot buy it . Period... So you dont compare it with this... Those cars were a must for VW to reduce emmisions and they were actually losing money with every car . I bought Twingo and and I would for sure take the Citygo instead.
