- My take on that Chinese restaurant classic... Chinese prawn toast. This one is a Thai prawn toast with fragrant flavours and a tangy homemade sweet chilli style sauce.

Prawn Toast is one of my absolute fave dishes, but as you say, they are incredibly stingy in restaurants, whereas yours are deluxe to the max! I definitely need to make these myself. I'm salivating just watching your video! 😂

I have been looking for a good recipe for shrimp toast. Thank you.
Not my childhood prawn toast either !!! My goodness YUMMO
Gorgeous!!!!
Finally, something that's not a noodle! Thank you. Haha!
Could you please make a video of Thai summer rolls or fresh rolls with a tamarind or peanut dipping sauce?
Marion, Tunisia here. You gotta be on Iron Chef America, Australia, Thailand, cause you're a good chef!
Hello from San Diego! I put the prawn side in oil but toast the other side in oven instead ( cut down on cholesterol 😭)
I will try it tomorrow
For some reason I would add some chili peppers just to spice it up. But since you have the spicy sauce it’s all good 👍 Looks so good either way.
I'm making these.
Hi love to try this recipe, when you freeze them do I have to defrost it or can it go straight from the freezer to the pan?
Dam ! Delicious ❤️
Love your videos Marion! Tell mama Noi hi 💖💗
I am definitely making that my husband n kids love anything made with prawns ur an awesome cook do plan to open a restaurant 😁
That looks good. I'll have to try making them another night.
Hi! Thank you for the great recipe, all your food looks so delicious! Can I ask if we could replace the snapper with a different type of fish if we can’t get hold of snapper?
You the best ❤️❤️❤️😍
This is my dad's kind of food!!!
So 😋
Your clothing style is always crazy cool! Like NYC or Tokyo 👏✨✨
Can you make a baked version of this? How would that work hmmm. This looks amazing
Yum! Just yum! One of my old favorites, alas this recipe will be one new favorites!
YUM! Can these be air fried or baked? If so what temperature?
damn! that looks delicious!
Holy toast!!!
Hi Marion! Loved this recipe. Just concerned that the prawn mix won't fall off the toast while frying? Please let us know if there is any trick to getting that correct. Thanks :)
YUM
While she was tasting the prawn toast, she had me pausing the video to check it wasn’t pouring down with rain 😊
Hi Marion! Hi Mama Noi!
It’s the month of fasting I am definitely going to make this to break fast?😁
Hello and Thankyou Marion for another delectable video!! I have a question.... I have never had the feeling that the Keffir Lime leaves are edible, does that mean I e been wrong about eating them for so long? Puréed Lime leaves are fine to eat?
also good bake.
Looks delicious! What kind of oil do you use when frying?
a stokes Vegetable oil or rice bran oil 😊
Marion's Kitchen Rice bran oil is healthy, that’s my choice if you can get it.
Frying That bread is soaking up all the oil. I baked mine and it comes out great.
They are too oily for me to eat while hot but they taste great chilled! It's not so greasy and somehow tastes sweeter and crunchier that way.
Your husband is the luckiest guy ever!
must very happy and overweigh guy
The tangy sauce is delicious and the find of the month. What else do you use this sauce in?
Where is that blouse from? It's gorgeous!!
Amanda Curry just wish she would’ve wear a black bra!
Hi Marion do you think its possible to grill these aswell ?
This looks so damn amazing, by the way I'm expecting more Malaysian Chinese dishes, keep me hooked on baby!
I'll see what I can do!!! :-)
Looks extremely good! I'll try it. I noticed that the recipe's ingredient list includes white sugar and a lot more than a pinch (i.e. 2 tsp) sea salt. These were not shown in the video. Same ingredient list lacks garlic and fish sauce, which were shown in the video. I think I'll follow the ingredients which were shown in the video. I assume you used about 3 cloves garlic and 2 tsp fish sauce. Let's see how this will turn out.
I tried the recipe yesterday with the ingredients mentioned in my initial comment. We liked it. If you don't like sturdy pieces of kaffir lime leaves in your prawn paste, you can grind the lime leaves to almost a powder in your spice grinder (first remove the leaf's rib and cut the leaf a bit smaller).
Love your channel! Anyway these can be baked/broiled instead?
Love from Trinidad and Tobago / Turks & Caicos Islands
I generally say yes to baking fried things but with these I've not gotten great results
@@Marionskitchen okay thank you!
You know it's fresh the the coriander still has roots lol!
I would like the ingredient amounts Thankyou
🤩
Hi Marion , just wondering if you could use the same recipe for eggplant or capsicum ❤?
Hi, lovely recipe. Will def try. Quick question how many grams of fish is used. On the recipe it only mentions 500 gm prawns.
Oh no! Thanks for letting me know! I'll fix that now :-) It's 350g prawns and 150g fish. But I've used all prawns before and it's great and even half prawn/half fish. It's pretty flexible :-)
Marion's Kitchen thank you for your quick reply. Love your recipes.. lots of success all the way from UK
❤️
At first I thought these were the pork toasts re-uploaded. Glad I clicked. (I would have watched it again anyway)
Also, the fish you get always looks so incredibly fresh. I wanted to pop those cubes in my mouth as-is!
Looks so delicious you mention snapper I think but in France what it is called you know or anyone?
Hi can I use the airfryer for this dish? Thanks
I'm afraid I've never used an airfryer. But I think it would be worth trying out :-)
Why doesn't Marion weigh 300 pounds? So luscious looking. I have never eaten prawn toast. But I will!
Can you use dried lime leaf's? Instead of fresh?
Is the garlic added to the fish mix or the sauce? In recipe it says to add to the sauce but on video marion adds it to the fish mixture before processing. Can you clarify please?
First comment! From Melbourne Australia!
Hi Peter!
Is this possible with something like cream dory instead of prawns
For a moment I thought you would Pop em' in the Oven but Fry it is
I very rarely deep fry because of hubby’s health issues, can I spray oil on top and bake these instead?
You can! Although I guess that they won't be as crispy as Marion's. But you could get an air fryer!
