My property is throwing away tons of those fixtures. We're going led and I think it's a huge waste too. Good job Lex.
For the door hinge I just stuffed it with peices of shims or sometimes I slap a anchor in there, all in all it's pretty much the same concept. Great repair.

I was an industrial maintenanceman in a slaughterhouse. My regular work orders consisted of changing out bolts that had rusted through, greasing bearings, replacing orbit motors, fixing hydraulic hoses that were leaking oil onto the belts, and re-welding whatever cleanup broke when they were cleaning. Sometimes I'd replace motors in the cooling units, sometimes re-wire machines that had electrical problems because cleanup would stand there and spray high-pressure hot water directly at the electrical boxes and the previous person who worked on the unit didn't close the boxes correctly. Occasionally fix blood pumps, that one was pretty dirty.
I would jump at the chance to do electrical work, unless it was replacing the lights on the ceilings. I flat out did not do that; not because I couldn't or because I was scared of heights, I wasn't. I just didn't want to get on a rickety fucking extension ladder and climb my ass 17 feet in the air. Might make me sound like an asshole but I don't care; someone ELSE could do that. I'll work on 240v machines live because we can't find the breaker, but I will not climb that far up on a ladder.
Holy smoke! 😆 You're out there making memories Corto!
@@LexVance Oh, I could tell stories, believe you me. You know companies say "Safety is our primary concern"? Well at this place it was "Production is priority 1. Production is priority 2. Safety is... well, just try not to get hurt".
Nice work, Rookie!

New subscriber here can you help us with a video on some tips for the epa test for hvac
I took the epa test 15 years ago. All I really remember is that it's mostly laws about venting refrigerant & nothing much about actual HVAC work. It could've changed. I wrote about it on my websites blog. Thank you so much for watching Armando!
