I appreciate these type of videos when you do electric, plumbing, and other trades all in one video with these work orders. This is better than sitting in a classroom listening to someone talk about this, it's all hands on.
Where is there a classroom that teaches maintenance? They have courses on this stuff? I thought this was like basic knowledge that you got from your father over a lifetime. I never took a maintenance class I just followed my father and grandfather around every time they had tools in their hands. Literally learned how to fix everything by watching them. Small engines, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, landscaping etc etc. But I guess nowadays with all the video games and the way kids are growing up I guess we're going to need a class to teach people how to unclog their drains and plunge a toilet.
@@UA-camisAZZho What father? Most people that do this stuff just finished doing time. People learn this stuff so they won't have to work in a warehouse or kitchen. I don't know anybody who's dad was around to teach them this
@9:00: Aligning the screws on the cover plates (whether vertical or horizontal) isn't just about looking good. It also lets you know if someone else has monkeyed with it, because very few people think to align them.
Great video Lex... Idk why but I love this shit...I can watch your videos all day and it never gets old besides all the things I learn... Thanks skid...
I like this guy, it was enjoyable to watch and made me feel a lot more confident accomplishing simple tasks. Thank you, this is exactly the channel I was looking for!
Got to love the old laundry list work orders and you know that all didn’t just happen all of a sudden some people wait for the office to make them mad and then all of a sudden everything went wrong in there apartment lol keep up the good work
Been doing Maintenance at a 320 Complex Doing Work Orders and Unit Turns for about 6 months pretty fun job always something new..Appreciate your vids they're entertaining lol 👍👍
stablock connctors are 95% of single pole switch terminal connection issues. Mostly with the factory stab connect being out of spec. I wish that style of connector gets baned by the NEC code. Perfect example of professional workmanship with the screws in the same orientation. A master electrician taught me that years ago and it also verify's if someone went behind your work. Good Job!!!
@@LexVance Why don't you do a video about needy tenats in general, just people who cannot handle the simplest issues or waiting time frame on their own?
. That's funny with the alignment of the faceplate screws. I was in the habit of doing that too for (1) it looks better (2) it was my signature that I was the one that did the work. Also I never tightened face plate screws with a drill to avoid the chance of cracking the plate.
Gotta love the long grocery list work orders. I have a few variety work order videos like that I'm going to upload soon as well. Love the channel lex, it keeps me going trying to build my apartment maintenance channel. Getting close to 100 subs. LoL Takes time to build it that's for sure. Keep them coming skid!!! 👍
You've got a great channel Rich! Keep plugging away & it'll gather steam. I remember my first 100 like it was yesterday. I celebrated with a cigar. Thank you so much for watching Rich!
You might know this already but your 11 in 1 klein screwdriver square bit fits right in the center of those screws on the side screws of the switch if you have one. Makes takin the screws out easy if your drill isn't handy
Great video lex! We use conduit claps with a little screw on the bottom of the counter to make a high loop for the dishwashers. Since the installers were lazy and put the hole nearly a foot lower than it should be. Great advice about the screws iv never seen it personally but I have heard horizontal screws buildup dust that could cause a fire but keep up the high quality hard work!!
So I’m a turn tech / maintenance tech when I’m not turning and burning i deal with some fucked up property’s but I’m coming from a framing background I have to say man I enjoy this way more electrical plumbing etc is way better than being stuck out on the old job site slaving your life away in the heat lol

im suprised that your dishwasher drain doesnt first go into an airgap and then into the disposal, all the dishwashers at my complex out here in California drains to a airgap and then from the airgap to the disposal
You'd have to speak with a manager about doing their HVAC equipment. That's if they don't have in-house techs that do it. If it's in-house repairs, you'd have to get a job with the company. Thank you so much for watching Daniel!
