I have the exact same anxiety with things falling down if it's over the bed! I never put anything on the walls there either because I'm desperately afraid of things falling on our heads in our sleep, lol!!
Me, with two 50×70cm canvases over my bed: "I may have a new concern in life"
But then I put too much planning and effort into having those two paintings in that wall, so they're staying up and I'll live with the suspense.
Slight tip: To see if a painting size and layout can fit well, use painter's tape to determine sizing for the space you are hoping to fill. This also can help you with the hanging process as well.
My kitty passed away at the end of last month she was 20 i had her since i was 2. I have not felt like doing art recently i have however been watching your videos as they always make me feel better. Thank you for uploading. ❤💕

There is something so unbelievably magical about your videos Minnie, it is indescribable. Usually, for me, the month of Ramadan (fasting) brings around a bout of inspiration and drive but this time around I couldn't find the same spark. Somehow, this video has just sprung me to live! I finally feel like I could just sit down and make art with nothing in between.
That being said, I have yet to start the paintings I now want to make because the practicality of life (university to be specific) is kind of guilt-shaming me. I hope I can put away the rest of these negative feelings and finally get to it! Thank you for the rejuvenation, Minnie
I dont like heavy stuff hanging above me either. I once had a plaque fall off the wall and crack me in the head while I was dead asleep. I woke up scared and in pain! I had no idea what hit me
the editing work on the botanical yellow background piece was awesome. the way the camera slowly zooms out as you complete the finishing touches was such a nice detail! your editing has gotten so good it's just as satisfying to watch as your art 🥰

I use painter’s/artist tape whenever I use command strips. Put a strip of tape onto the frame and wall where the command strips will go. The tape will protect from any potential sticky residue and removes easily too!

Great vid as always! I've had 3 surgeries this year to date.....latest one last week. All done by the same surgeon who is fantastic, so im currently working on a thank you card for him. I've put so much stress on myself, but im really loving it so far!!!!

To test a layout, cut craft paper in the shape of the framed artwork and tape that to the wall

Tip for future gallery walls: cut pieces of paper to the frame size and hang those to figure out the layout.

You made some really great choices. I will definitely be checking out Imprint. Your kitchen utensil drawing is really special. Great work! Don't worry too much about the command strips. I've had the vast majority of my art hanging from my walls with them going on three years and they don't budge. I even have a really large canvas, 5 feet x 5 feet, hanging over my bed (of all places) using the ones designed for 16 lbs and it hasn't shifted. They can strip your paint when removing, though, but I've heard that people loosen the adhesive using a blow dryer.

Congratulations on the engagement always good to hear some good news. I live in America if that helps you understand what I mean by that. I love the garlic sketch i thought it was a beautiful sketch even if it was dark. I didn't know that garlic cloves had that beautiful purple, pink colours. I've only ever seen the green colour. You've helped get me inspired to do the same thing for my mom's kitchen she used to have alot of plates and breakables up on the walls. I have 6 siblings you can imagine how many of those things are still around lol. (not very many) but since we've all grown up I think its time to help her liven the kitchen back up.

If you’re needing to fill in some small holes just use white chalk Scribble over the hole and it is gone!!! Hope this helps xxx

My walls are 10 feet high and I'm not sure whether I should keep things at eye level or fill that tall space! So, my indecision has led to some empty walls, LOL.
BTW, I won't hang anything heavy over the bed because I wouldn't sleep, imagining it crashing down during the night!
