Saving this one! Thank you.
Finally!! A great, easy, useful recipe by a person who doesn't talk about themselves for half the video! Thank you! Love your sense of humor, too.
Love Christie, she's so calming and easy to follow
Oh just great, now I gotta make this with some homemade chili!! GEE THANKS CHRISTIE!!
I was thinking Irish beef stew
Yah thanks a lot. I now have to make this with red beans and ham.
My exact thought!
I make this often, but I add 1/2 tsp of Garlic powder. I recommend serving this with chilli and stews. So yummy to dip. I also use 1/2 cheddar. Low moisture cheeses work better.
She’s so adorable. Love her easy way and enthusiasm. The bread looks awesome.
No lie. I have saved this cheese beer bread video and I watch it often. So good
I've made beer bread before but never with cheese, this looks incredible!!
You can pretty much put any flavor you want in it. You can put green onions, garlic, etc.
I've added onion and bacon pieces. Makes a tasty snack
Same here, gonna change my recipe
Christie has such a lovely manner when she presents.
On top of that, I never trust a skinny cook. LOL
I made a close version of this tonight for dinner with friends. I didn’t have any chives so used fresh rosemary from my garden and German wheat beer instead. They couldn’t get enough of it. Thanks so much!
i'm not Sure about all that baking 😢Powder ....Don't Think it's really Approved 4 my health 😊requiremints*....requirements..... bye
Young lady, very nice recipe, I',m Irish so Guiness & very little sugar in mine, swiss gruyere is my fave cheese
DolLy Parton Has a Vg!! Irish Song Lol
Thank you, Christie et al. Bravo!
That looks delicious! Right up my alley- I love a cheese bread! I've seen mixes that you just add the beer to but I'm happy to have an actual recipe for what looks like a great beer cheese bread!!! Thx
Looks great.... Can't wait to try. Thanks so much!😀
I've been making beer bread for years. I love using a nut brown ale. I find the light beer too light of a flavor. I made my bread recipe with about 10 different beers once, and a brown ale was the crowd favorite! (Shout out to Moose Drool) I also use some oat flour or ground oatmeal in place of about 1/4 of the total flour, and I use honey instead of sugar because i like the flavor with the beer.
looks yummy and crispy
Oh goodness! That looks so good! A must try for me! Thank you for sharing with us!
That looks scrumptious 🤩
Good job
I've got to try this bread!
That recipe sounds great. When I make the bread 🍞 recipe I'm going to use firestone Walker 805 beer 🍺.
Looks delicious
Oh my goodness. This will be made. Yum. 😋🤗
Was looking for a beer bread and came up on your recipe. I really like how you explained why you do what you do ( yeah I'm one of those type persons)
Anyway I will be trying this soon! Thanks
This is a fun recipe expertly presented by Christie Morrison who is delightful.
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
This looks very nice. 👍.
Ohhh my Gosh 😱
I Will DEFINITELY BE MAKING THIS FOR MY FAMILY 👩🍳
This looks great! 6:07
That looks amazing ! I will try it soon !
3 of my favorite things. Beer, cheese, and cast iron. Ok, I'll do it!
I've used brown sugar and a dark beer. Great stuff!
Bet this would make some amazing drop biscuits!
Or dumplings to drop on top of a stew!
That wouldn't last long around me,looks absolutely delicious
Yummy!
I use Black Walnut beer and it makes this FANTASTIC
Is there a brand of black walnut beer you recommend?
Looks like a great recipe I will make is
ATK,,, HELLO CHRISTENE, thanks for this, , which I WILL TRY, CIAO,,,,🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I use a Rock fying pan for my cornbread, I assume that would work as well?
That looks dank! (That's my 2009 stoner thinking) do people still say dank? That looks soo good
I had a beer biscuit with beer country gravy at a restaurant that was out of this world! But I can’t get the recipe! Care to make a beer country gravy to go with this? Also, don’t drink beer. Could you tell me exactly what to get so I don’t make a mistake? Thanks.
Thank you for great recipe. Do you think gluten free flour will work in this recipe?
Great video guys! Question, how do you think it would be if you lined the cast-iron pan with bacon fat to keep her from sticking? And are you preheating that cast-iron pan or are you putting it in the cold
Christie did not preheat the skillet, go back and look, I think she has it sitting on the counter and then picks it up without gloves and then fills it, again without gloves, so the pan heats up with the bread in the oven.
@Wrench! Maybe a wee bit of jalapeño?
What If I never mow my lawn? Can I ask my gardener what kind of beer he drinks and use that?
I was told that I won't be able to taste the beer once it is baked into the bread and that's too bad because I love the taste of beer. Guess I'll just have to open another beer. Probably Walker 806. Somebody gave me a bottle and as I've said before, "I'd rather have a free bottle of beer in front of me than a pre-frontal lobotomy.
My skillet is 9 and 5/8 inches in diameter....WHAT SHOULD I DO!?🙃
I 've been planning to eat the whole damn thing in one sitting...I know...what a pig!)
Is there anything else that can used as a substitute for beer? Greatly appreciate your suggestions
There are alcohol free beers. Gluten free beers. And a Somali "beer" that is made on sorghum instead of wheat or rice.
It all depends on why you don't like beer. If you don't like beer flavor, there are carbonated apple ciders and grape juices as well. Even a carbonated soda might work.
I think Cognac would be good.
Soda water
@@lyfandeth Thank you
@@summerrose1545 thank you
what could i substitute for the beer? seltzer?
Yes. Or non-alcoholic beer, but that gets expensive.
well...im going to make this today
Yummo 💛
I can see this working well with a detroit pizza pan in the OONI
Could you make this with a hard cider instead?
I don't know the answer but it sounds good to me!
I wonder if I can ferment the flour a little with yeast instead of baking solar to get some chewiness?
Love, love, love ATC. You guys are my go-to for new recipes and techniques. But. So many of your recipes are for a 12 inch cast iron. So much so that I bought 12 inch cast iron for my young adult kids.
Why not adjust this recipe for a 12 inch? That seems to be the best all around size and certainly the most popular.
I hate to complain in front of the masses on the ‘net, but I did it anyway.
Love what you all do!
Or you could just make the recipe and stick it in your 12" pan. The finished bread will be a bit thinner and the cook time will likely be less but you'll have a resulting beer-battered cheese bread. Alternatively, you could bust out your math brain and increase the ingredient amounts. The volume difference between 10" and 12" pans is about 44% but you could probably just increase all the ingredients by 50%. Of course, if you're using a typical size can of beer, you'll now have to open a second one. 😏
always looking bread recipes that don't require a stand mixer
You said if you wouldn't drink the beer on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn don't use it, but what if you don't drink beer at all. I have no problem with alcohol whatsoever. I've been quite tipsy on occasion in fact. I just don't like the taste of beer. Would you recommend this bread to me or should I try something else?
I don't drink beer at all, yuk. But I do like beer bread or beer pancakes. Lol.
Yuengling?
anything you want
Problem is with beer bread is that it's typically very crumbly. I still enjoy it though, just not a dipping bread.
Can I bake it in something else, my cast iron pan is a 12 inch?
cook it in anything
I don’t drink alcohol . What can I substitute for the beer

I mean no disrespect but the best cooks are hefty women. Nobody is touching them in regards to skills to cook a nice meal.
Terrible!! I cooked exactly as instructed.
