- May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS) is a vascular condition that can increase your risk of blood clots in the leg (deep vein thrombosis or DVT). While it may be present in more than 20% of the population, it is rarely considered in the diagnosis of DVT, particularly in patients with other risk factors.
Learn what you need to know about MTS from Dr. Suresh Vedantham, Professor of Radiology & Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and NBCA Medical and Scientific Advisory Board Member; and Sarah Lemire, Lifestyle Reporter for TODAY.com and MTS patient. Together, they will answer questions like, “What is it? How is it diagnosed? What treatments are available? If you have it, how do you protect yourself from blood clots?”
Thank you! This was very informative.
Thank you all for this webinar. Very informative.
I would love to hear about how Sarahs stent recovery and maintenance or any issues? What did stent recovery feel like, does she have discomfort from the stent like so many do etc.
How much can this effect swelling of the legs without clots.
