looks like that is promoting a push with the hands. I agree that hands must stay inside, but I would argue that you never won't to push your hands forward to the ball. Hands should stay connected to the rear shoulder and the barrel should turn behind you, promoting a swing that is on plane early and stays through the zone to full extension.
This coach is probably breaking the swing down better then anyone on UA-cam. He actually explains it where an 8yr old can understand. He was also a hell of a ball player
