You can see that the visuals not looking the same like BF3. But everything else, is very impressive.

seeing this compared to the recent shitstorm that was the collection... shows you who the real star wars fans are. this is for the fans, not for shareholders
Yeah the collection was just a cash grab that added bugs that weren't even in the ogs lol
a dev told us back in 2011, that the game was 99.9 % done, the dev kit build is like 4 to 5 builds behind the final build they have/had locked away somewhere, xenia canary has been working on it with some very very dedicated developers/moders have done another patch 2 months ago.
Love the Star Wars community some of the most talented people
I doubt it was 99% done. Considering the state of campaign levels and bugs, it looked more like 60% done.

@@klutzspecter3470I think the dev have a 99% done build somewhere. The leaked build is at a lower percentage, that's the problem. But I'm just speculating.
@@klutzspecter3470none of the builds that were leaked were anywhere near where they were at the end, the newest one was probably 5 or so builds before final. It was mostly bug fixing left.
It's sad when a mod for a shooter released in 2005 has better space-to-ground transitions than Starfield.
hopefully slowly more stuff is found and it can be the game fully we lost, still badass job from the team deving this mod

@@devinharris2175space combat was awful in the EA BF2. No landing inside the ships either. The only potential it had was being graphics. That is it.

Someone really needs to make a battlefront 3 equivalent using a modern game engine. Let’s be real, the technology to make this type of game has been available for 10 years. With all the battle royal games set on massive maps I’m genuinely surprised no one has actually followed through in making a game that actually has space to ground multiplayer combat.
i remember playing all these maps in star wars elite squadron on my psp wayyy back when i was a kid
would love to see some of the maps from BF1 and BF2 be modified to include space to ground combat

So the mod is essentially Elite Squadron, but without shitty PSP controls. AMAZING!

Kind of but it lacks Pernsonalization and Customization on character/class. I wish there were 2-3 slots on the right where you could make your class out of assets.

This is the most badass mod to delight us older fans. It really is something!
The same happened with Rogue Squadron 4 Rogue Leaders, the director from Factor 5 has a Wii dev kit with a finished fully completed version at home. From what i remember is that Lucas Arts had a leadership change during that time and then they went on a bizarre cancelation spree with some of the games which got cancelled already completed in development because they didn't want to pay the marketing costs.
It’s pretty impressive that pandemic studios were able to make ground to space combat playable back in 2008 on an old engine on ps3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Meanwhile in 2017 EA and DICE couldn’t make it happen on ps4 and Xbox One consoles…. Pretty pathetic tbh. Even though I am sorta happy with what 2017 battlefront turned into after all the updates. I just wish EA and DICE continued to bring on the updates cause the game is incredibly stale now.

What it needs now are destroyable Star Destroyers by destroying the core and also be able to escape with pods... if it's possible. Like in Elite Squadron. I have no idea how limited this game or its engine is.

atmospheric flight, seemless was a huge accomplishment, free radical and SOE did as well in SWG back in 2008, bboth games and lucasarts were really involved in cutting edge software, it was lost wiith everythying else when disney came in, and canceled all the games, like 1313, maul game, Bf3, star wars galaxies continuation cut short by shitty shitty bang bang swtor. and countless more games, that were being developed, but just cut off at the knee for no reason, due to canonical resets according to kathleen

Now that's a name I've not heard in a long, long time. A game from a more civilized age.
I will never forget the faction recruiters including other PCs who would give out gear as a sign on bonus, nor the time the cantina erupted into a fight between rebel and imperial sympathizers, and the dancer turned out to be a rebel and shot me in the back.

I always wished you could pick which hero to use and not just whoever was tied to that map.

It has multiplayer but no story mode in it yet. Not sure if they are going to add it but they have uploaded cutscenes from it onto their youtube I believe. No galactic conquest sadly.
@@gladiat0r_They don’t plan on making the story anytime soon. The legacy mod is looking dark atm. They plan to try upload a couple more maps, but it might get cancelled soon.

According to how you go from space back to the surface of the planets is illogical. The planets are spheres but landing back on the planets its flat(Like the Earth). This is why Stars Wars is fantasy.😅

Is the bf3 legacy mod compatible with other bf2 mods? Becauseit says that there is no way to uninstall this mod I wonder if I will be able to play my other mods in „bf3“

I think it changes I can't remember its been awhile since I've played it. You can see Anakin and Mace in the video on Coruscant.

This is a nit pick and by no means an insult, but I noticed that your sentences seem broken/unfinished. For example 1:30-1:36 is quite jarring to hear short sentences abruptly end. Another example would be 2:34 when reading the list, you finish the sentence then immediately continue it.
I'm not sure if this is just multiple takes in the script or the stitching of voice clips seems a little delayed but the pauses are quite noticeable. Either way, this is a great showcase of the mod.
Not gonna lie. starwars games now are kind of mid. However, if this BF3 game came out...id be spending any and all my galatic credits.

They do have their own servers, I haven't tried them though.
Will i be able to download the mod on the classics collection on ps5?
Not unless someone makes the mod for the ps5 which is doubtful the collection will have mod support on consoles.
