this is a really nice set up, the only issue I see is when the draw bar is dropped it has the capability to damage the airlines when it drops on top of them. Has that ever been an issue?

Sticky and frozen material are not problem when truck's bed is equipped with vibra and heated by exhaust gases. you can hear driver using vibra couple seconds when transfer bed were dumped.
Clever set up, but why not just jackknife, tip your truck load, then straighten up and tip your trailer. Or doesn't the second trailer tip? That's the normal way. Lot quicker.
No the trailer does not tip since it is not meant to. Most of times you can't get anywhere near the dump site with the trailer. I drive similar set up and the construction sites I mostly visit are so narrow and tight that you can hardly get there even with the truck.
It's completly useless to use throttle when you raise the dump, it s not very good for the earth and the dump raise very fast at idle on a Volvo and Mercedes.

Its not always possible to jack knife on certain construction sites. That is why this is used instead.
